  1. Remember watching that overhead kick in disbelief. Aww, that Gilhaus rumour quashed? Need to get some more old Aberdeen goss from my mate now, like the rumours of the manager and a TV presenter, and his successor's sojourns down the docks....
  2. Probably the worst in the world now. It was borderline to the legal minimum at the time it was built, which has since been increased...
  3. Yeah there was an interesting difference in the reporting of this on Scotland Tonight (10 minute feature/ discussion) and Scotland 2014 (about 30 seconds at the end including the failure to name the paper correctly)...
  4. Would've been an ideal replacement..... for Doug Rougvie
  5. Abercorn:- http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abercorn_F.C. Would've been my local team. Killed of by St Mirren
  6. Mind my dad buying the Scottish Daily News. Hope it gets a better foothold in the market than that... Edit....I did a google image search for that paper and it threw up this fantastic example of semantic change!
  7. Probably toured her home street in Newlands. It's in Yes voting Glasgow after all...
  8. Needs sudoku in it before it gets my missus' approval. First impressions, not a bad start but not as good as the "i" if you're comparing along the lines of quality newpaper in the 50p price bracket. Certainly more of a read than the Evening Times for the same price right enough.
  9. Way too big a move for him at this stage. Tuesday night showed he's still got a lot to learn at the highest level. Best to stick with regular top flight football at Hull for now IMO....
  10. Never mind Jordan Rhodes, seven in seven for David Clarkson. If he keeps that form up he'll be banging at the door....
  11. Got the last one in the shop at 11am. Flying off the shelf they told me....
  12. Andra Neil may have been at a few Tory party conferences back in the day? But I don't know it's not something that sits comfortably with me but then again the SNP are not technically the party of government which gives a bit of leeway. As Salmond said 30 out of 33 newpapers were anti-independence, so if you're going to buck the trend it's maybe a good idea to engage directly with your market. That said announcing a new publication on the Friday and having it in the shops on the Monday is fairly ambitious!

    Hoolies

    'ere you! Paolo's a Buddie...
  14. There's actually only 3 "weeks of football" throughout the campaign. On 4 occasions it's qualifiers only on Fri-Sat-Sun like last week. Don't mind it tbh. I've enjoyed having a different than usual big game to watch every night...
  15. Probably correct, but not really relevant yesterday!
  16. Rangers will pump us next week and all will be well again...
  17. They seem to have got wise to on-street parking nearby. Permits only in the evening or you get impounded (I've seen it happening). Last time I parked up next to Kelvingrove Park in Royal Terrace, a few streets further to walk but at least it was free...
  18. Darling, Brown...who's next to desert? The good ship Labour appears to be sinking fast...
  19. If the polls are correct they'll fancy a crack at everyones'...
