  1. To a certain degree I agree with you. I think the whole thing has been hijacked to make a statement. That's no excuse to be disrespectful.
  2. This is what confuses me. A large chunk of their fans are outraged by the poppy yet the club do the honourable thing and donate a sizeable amount of cash to the appeal. What is it the fans don't get???
  3. Brian Reid pulled a few of this sort of signing off when he was at Ayr, unfortunately they never lived up to the hype and were rarely ever seen.
  4. Since changing jobs in February my coffee intake has risen massively. I tend to use McDonalds rather than any of the coffee houses as its a decent cup for 1.29 plus every 6th one is free. Decent wifi too so I can pretend I'm working. Costa is ok but I think Starbucks is pish.
  5. I would say blowing a plane out the sky is far more effective at: 1. Making a statement 2. Causing terror. Loads of folk are already worried about flying, more so to/from hotspots. By blowing a plane out the air IS have demonstrated a new level of ability, causing increased terror. Any Tom Dick or Mohammed can blow up or attack a hotel, very few attacks on airliners actually succeed.
  6. IS claimed they did it and will reveal more shortly. But they have said they won't say exactly what they did.
  7. It's a cup game so any ticket price reduction would have to be agreed between the clubs.
  8. Can't believe nobody has mentioned this yet..... Park the bus!! Got to be the most annoying!
  9. I was impressed by the boy Nicholson at hearts yesterday. Looks like he could be worth a shot. Needs to lose the stupid pink boots though.
  10. BBC were also a few days late in running the story. RT ran it days ago.
  11. Yeah but 13 of those goals were against the groups whipping boys. Another goal in Ireland or a goal in Tbilisi and it's a different scenario. Fwiw Craig I can see where you are coming from, our defence was shite, but you can't pin it all on them.
  12. Hope it's a very small fortune as the honest men will win the league!
  13. Why is it pathetic? Because you've only done it to provoke a reaction. Other than the random sing song at the end it could of been pretty much any TA boy. We all know England fans are generally classless Cnuts anyway.
  14. Overrated and likely to get ripped off if frequenting the gas cookers.
  15. [quote name="BAS2013" post="211965" timestamp="1442403363 Any advice on Hamburg for a weekend away with a group of lads also welcome.... Stay off the Rieperbahn!
  16. We spend so much time concentrating on results in boys football that we lose focus on what really matters - technique. You saw it last night, the Germans spraying passes around from all angles and hitting the man. Even the Georgians managed it. We seem unable to string 2 passes together. That's basic stuff but youngsters are so focused on winning that they are brainwashed in to big aimless punts and hope for the best. Same with the control and first touch. We need to get back to basics and encourage children to play good football with an emphasis on technique rather than a battling 1-0 win. I'm not suggessting building competitive experience is not important but what we have is poor quality coaches and managers who want their teams to win at all costs, including sacrificing player development.
  17. I know I know. Just saying. We seem to be resigned to the same style of football though. Regardless of the players or who we are playing. We set out against Georgia the same way we set out against Germany. We lack intelligence. Even at half time we see poor. The Germans were working drills, we were pinging the ball about like a Sunday league team. We need a total change of direction on and off the pitch.
  18. He has run out of ideas though Some of his selections are baffling at the best. It's been mentioned before how lagerback has transformed Iceland. Maybe it's time to introduce a new way of thinking.
