I think Gallagher being called up signifies that he doesn't consider McTominay a candidate for CB anymore.
Doig probably indicates that KT is carrying a knock.
I really doubt he'll change to a back 4 now. I think it will be:
-------------- Gordon
------ Hendry McKenna Tierney
Patterson ------------------- Hickey
------- McTominay --- McGregor
-- McGinn ------------ Armstrong
------------- Adams
Agreed, we are better without him. Still have him in the squad as cover but he isn't a starter for me. Decent player but we have some very good midfield players ahead of him.
Excellent performance last night, didn't give Ukraine a chance from the very start and just steam rollered them within 20 minutes.
Interesting to see where Caroline Weir moves to next, she is a big talent.
Yep, watched it yesterday while pretending to work. It's a really well put together film, the admiration and respect all the players have for Andy Roxburgh and Walter is really something.
The corners on Saturday were ridiculous, I mean we all know about Duffy in the air, so what did we do?
We played it to him almost every time, apart from the ones that were completely overhit and went out for goal kicks or throw ins. Terrible.
---------- Gordon
------ Souttar/Hanley/McKenna
Ralston/McGregor/McTominay Robertson
-----McGinn---------Christie
----------- Adams
I think he'll go with this initially.
A good performance, I would like to see Ralston, McKenna and Souttar keep their places for Saturday.
I'd then like to see McTominay in the middle with McGregor and McGinn taking Armstrong's position, he is wasted playing deeper.
I think Hickey and Robertson were hung out to dry by Clarke.
By playing Dykes and Adams so narrow there was no-one in front of the full backs to play up to and overlap.
There were several occasions when Robertson was forced to try and take on at least 2 Ukrainians up the wing. Hickey was getting caught with 2 players all the time.
Clarke was completely out thought by the Ukrainian manager.
I would like to see Hickey get another chance next week, he is definitely going to be a big player for us.
