malky24
Don't have a problem with flares or fireworks. Just the arseholes that think it's a good idea to bring them to a football match
Toepoke
I wasn't actually that bothered with the guy behind me standing holding a flare in the air, however the inherent safety risk to spectators was swiftly demonstrated when a fat bas in a kilt decided to rugby tackle him... dohadeer
Some amount of old duffers on here greeting about a bit of atmosphere and a couple of flares. In terms of noise etc, the polish fans out us to shame, although most national team support puts ours to shame. The flares were ing excellent and looked superb. As for the firefighter who posted above, could you tell me the last person to die as the result of a flare? You really need to stop and listen to other people's opinions, instead of dismissing people as 'old duffers.' Generally, the people who are worth listening to on any subject in life are the experts on that particular subject. So when a firefighter gives an opinion on flares, that's the person who is worth listening to. It's a bit disrespectful and naive for you to think you know better. Yes, flares look good, we get that, that's the point of them. However, safety-wise, they are not worth the risk, hence why they are banned at football stadiums in Britian. (Perhaps banned in Europe or the world, I have no idea.)
