Larky Masher
Not bullying him. Simply reminding him of his actions. Anyway, this exchange is beyond tedious. I'm out. Typical bully.

Fairbairn
Away from the bickering, Rangers announce they will charge £5 across the board for tickets for the play off(s). Sensible decision. TICKETS for the SPFL Premiership quarter-final play-off match against Queen of the South at Ibrox on Sunday, May 17 are now on sale. The Club is pleased to announce that after careful consideration tickets for the above match are priced at £5 across the board.Several pricing structures, including allowing season-ticket holders free admission with other fans paying between £5 and £20, were studied but it is believed the most favourable option for the Club and its supporters is a flat price of £5.This means the Club can cover the costs of staging the match – between £70,000 and £80,000 – and at the same time comply with the SPFL rule, which demands a 50% levy from gate receipts after VAT (but not the Club’s costs) has been deducted. The cost to the Club of allowing season-ticket holders free admission would have been substantial after accounting for the levy that would be due to the SPFL.Despite media speculation never at any time did Rangers state it would not adhere to SPFL rules and the Club believes that setting this flat fee should meet with the approval of all concerned. The £5 ticket price for all will ensure as many supporters as possible can back the team and should we progress to the next stage of the play-offs our pricing policy will not change.Tickets go on general sale from 2pm today (Thursday, May 7) and season-ticket holders can purchase their own seats until Sunday, May 10. Bar 72 and Section MLF season-ticket holders should note smartcards for this match will be activated automatically.

Shotts56
If a company chooses to let their season ticket holders in to watch their club for free then that should be their decision. The contentious point is should the SPFL demand the equivelant amount of money that would have been raised from those tickets? I think they should, but after letting hibs away with it last year they should let teams away with it this year and change the rules so there is no loophole nextyear. Fair point, can't disagree with that.

stocky
Good decision and two fingers up to the SPFL. Not very conciliatory Mr Masher , the spfl rules have a minimum price , That is getting abused. Both sides made errors , this , imo, is a good compromise.

Louch
You see ideally the best league would see all gate receipts shared so that all clubs benefited from shared revenues. Arguably this could produce the most competitive and exciting leagues. We would then properly see who the best managers were and the fans might get a far superior product. I disagree. Sharing rangers and critics crowd money would just lead to smaller clubs getting lazy in cultivating their own crowds. I doubt if Aberdeen or Dundee united etc where getting 30k plus crowds they would be that keen on sharing it. Parkilife- that post is shocking. Get over yourself and get out the house more if you are that poisoned . On here's not being kind to you even after all these years if that's the guff you still spout.
