Irishandproud
Bought home tickets as I couldn't get sorted from the FAI and when I went to sit in my seat the steward was standing in front of it and there was a ribbon going all the way up the row of seats where I had bought 2 for. The steward tells me I can't sit in my seat and to go somewhere else. It was a pain in the hole I must admit and its something the SFA will be hearing about from me personally. I thought it was a bloody disgrace to sell me tickets they couldn't honour, what a joke.
mariokempes56
Right to complain son. There were doubles in my row but folk just squeezed in. As regards stewards in general...well they are generally hopeless.
Fred_Zeppelin
I would suggest the general hopelessness of stewards is a direct result of the general hopelessness of the wages they receive.

However, that's changed over the years I've been going - I think mostly since the 'friends and family' facility became available on the website making it easier to buy tickets for other SSC members. Embarrassing to treat paying supporters like that (even more so with the away fans given the great patience and hospitality that was shown to us in Germany by their home fans). Dortmund was a shambles, can't remember what section it was off the top off my head but you couldn't walk up and down the aisles due to folk just standing watching the game and knows how many folk were squeezed into per seat in the same section

Shotts56
The stewards all around Celtic Park were useless. I couldn't find my turnstyle before the game (I was struggling as they didn't seem to be going in sequential order), and the steward who was paid to be there equally had no idea. Likewise at Dalmarnock train station, faced with two queues outside the station, presumably one for eastbound and one for westbound I asked another steward what queue it was for eastbound. Equally he had no idea and told us to just pick one and guess. And these people are responsible for our safety? They're on minimum wage, most of them clearly don't give a toss about their job, so why bother with them?

Cove_Sheep
This happens at Celtic Park a lot. They often sell tickets for seats that don't exist too.

I thought it was a bloody disgrace to sell me tickets they couldn't honour, what a joke. I've had this with the SFA before. They sold me tickets for the West Stand section A at Hampden for the friendly vs Austria during the Berti years. They then decided not top open this section due to poor ticket sales & relocated anyone that had bought tickets there to the main stand. The only problem was, they forgot to tell half the fans that had bought the tickets that this was what they were doing.
Irishandproud
Well who do they think they are selling tickets they cannot honour? It's a bloody disgrace What about the safety of fans? They have a responsibility to ensure this which they haven't done. deecie
Wouldn't have had this problem if the game was played at Pittodrie.
Irishandproud
Well there has been a reply, not very positive and a lot of avoidance of responsibility but they don't seem to realise I will not and refuse to let this go, the treatment towards me by the steward that night was a bloody disgrace, to be continued...... jimstroma
Wouldn't have had this problem if the game was played at Pittodrie. The problem with Pittodrie is they have fitted 2 seats into a space for 1 seat. Fek all leg room in that big stand behind the goals
