The Black Bra
Watched the Ukraine game in the Albion near Blackfriars Bridge. That’s been the best, pretty much only place to watch Scotland games in London for a few years. The place was full, surprised by how young a crowd were there. Went there yesterday to watch the game and they didn’t have it on, said the didn’t have Premier sports. Wasn’t that the channel Ukraine game was on? Think the association with the Albion came from Looney Alba, any of their members on here know what’s going on? Maybe the pub has a different landlord now, they didn’t seem that interested in the game, only turned the music down and turned on the volume for the football when they were half-way through FOS even though loads of people kept asking them to do it. Anyone in London know of anywhere else? Ended up watching game yesterday in an Irish pub but if we hadn’t been playing Ireland probably would have struggled to find anywhere showing it. Pretty sure the Ukraine game was on sky. Premier sports may not be shown in alot of pubs as they already cover Sky and BT Sport. We will have to get used to premier sports as they have the right to Scotland's games now.
brixton footsoldier
Think Albion manager - at least pre-covid - wis a Canadian dude wi a soft spot fur Scotland.. no sure if he’s still in control now? Agree it’s been a go-to place fir last while, might drop em a line - maybe if enough of us hassle em they’ll make an effort tae set up Premier Sports..? This will be a problem for most of us who can't get to games. Premier sports is not high on a pubs priority list so meeting up won't be possible unless you pack someone's livingroom
