  1. While I agree with your points 100%, it is a bit disingenuous to say it is a "simple answer". I have the maximum number of points for attending all home games over the last 20 years (12 I think). Finding an away game that I can get a legitimate ticket for is neigh on impossible. The only one recently was Cyprus, but by the time this became available I was priced out of getting there. I don't have a better solution and agree the die hards should get the tickets. The only area I feel more could be done is cracking down on any harvesters (and to be fair, this may happen more than I know)
  2. Not that they are truly comparable, but after winning the first four games, Wales only got 1 point in the next four and still finished second only going out through the playoffs (as other have pointed out).
  3. I also signed up for the £59 deal so wondering if that money is now effectively written off? I find it strange that today I got a customer survey email from Viaplay and the first question is "Would you recommend the service to a friend or family"!
  4. Was it not Switzerland or somebody like that who played the rankings a bit by avoiding friendlies in the lead up to a WC? I'm sure I remember reading they pipped Italy into a seeding in a WC draw and it was down to canny selection of friendlies.
  5. Those are the hospitality ticket prices, which are legitimately available via UEFA direct. You can actually book them now and get your money back if Scotland don't qualify. 1,250 Euro a ticket. 6. Out of curiosity I had a look at world of discovery website. Reading what you get for your money, I would be careful to ensure that it includes tickets to the game if you decided to go down this route. When you actually read what is included it only talks about hotels and transport and the closest I can see to mention of tickets is: Much cheaper/better to organise your own hotels and go into the public ballot.

    Hampden DJ

I agree that the DJ was on it with the only obvious omission for me being Berri with Sunshine After the Rain. That said, I feel the music volume is a bit high (i sit in North Stand) and was struggling to have conversation.
  8. The frustrating thing for me is that we are being offered exclusive early access for these tickets but were not offered the same option for the football top. This still bugs me!
  9. Potentially Haaland will be coming to this game having won a Treble. I wonder how his mindset will be following those potential highs and the club season being over?
  10. £15 gets you a month and you can cancel it so in this case £7.50 per Scotland Game. In a world where most premium sport is behind a paywall I don't think that is bad value. NOW TV (Sky) used to have £10 for 24 hours but not sure what that is now. As I said before, I have no real issue when it's these sort of prices. I have much more issue with the pricing of the new shirt (and lack of incentive for Travel Club Members)
  11. Maybe slightly controversial, but £15 for a month of Via Play which gets two Scotland games (and plenty f others if it floats your boat) seems reasonable to me. Way less than a ticket for the game. It wasn't that long ago that you had to sign up for a year of Sky coverage even if you only wanted a few games, so this Pay per View model works for me. I went to both games, but still paid so the kids could watch. Appreciate that not everyone has access to "internet TV" so the current model isn't perfect, but for me personally I am not complaining.
  12. No idea why I am responding to this, but a discussion about a replacement for Craig Gordon has turned into an accusation that I wouldn't go to war for my country. Crazy times.
  13. Surely has to be one of the most contradictory posts I've read. Basically you hate the English because they hate the Scottish. Except for a couple of them who are all right. Oh, and lets just mention the monarchy for good measure. Couldn't be more stereo typical Celtic fan if you tried.
  14. I had the same issue with my CC. Switched to Debt card instead to buy the tickets. 40 minutes later the security text came in.
  15. I don't have Sky or Virgin. Does this mean I can't get this on my Smart TV? Considering I currently pay £9.99 a game with Now TV, the £14.99 for a month may work out better for me if there are more than one game I can't make in person.
  16. Will this squad be bigger then usual considering we have potentially have 5 games over 14 days? I'm not sure if there is a set rule for squad sizes in qualifying windows like it would be for a major tournament.
  17. While I think you are correct in some respects, I do believe the noise inside Hampden will make it very clear to our team the outcome we want.
  18. Anyone looked at Wales fixtures? Poland (away) WC Playoff (home) Holland (home) Belgium (home) Holland (away) That's some list of fixtures to be playing!
  19. ok, this may change my opinion slightly!
  20. Rather than trying to dissect a lot of the nonsense you are spouting, I am interested in this point (made by some others as well). What "huge advantage" do they have? As far as I can tell the clubs are arranging friendlies so surely no different to them playing in their normal domestic league had Russia not invaded? Personally I would rather the squad was playign competitive games rather than show pieces in the build up. I'm as frustrated like most regards the lack of clarity on the dates, but a much larger concern is the prep time Wales will have rather than Ukraine.
  21. I thought this as well. Surely Saint would be better off donating the equivalent money to a charity of your choice or the DEC.
  22. Think you have missed my point. Some people (not many to be fair) are asking for refunds for travel arrangements that were made before current war in Ukraine. I cant see a way anyone, even travel insurance, would refund. Best you can hope for is to rearrange travel for the new dates when (if!) they are set. I'm sure many on here were equally annoyed when Adele cancelled her gigs in Vegas and were demanding their flight/hotel money back.
  23. I can just see the forums in Ukraine moaning that they had booked flights to Glasgow and who is going to refund them. Get a grip of yourself. I share your frustration, but lets take a bit of perspective here.
