I went for return flights to Budapest in Hungary (£80) Booked a flight from Budapest to Oslo (£40) Booked a return bus from Budapest to Belgrade (£40) All options covered pretty cheaply. Worst case (most likely) scenario is a wee holiday in Budapest or potentially go to the Norway/Serbia v Israel final if we don't make it.

Even Bus 8 keeps turning up.

You mean the last guy who took us to a play-off? And he did it with probably the worst group of players we have ever had. How many Scottish managers have come later and failed miserably. Lets hope Steve Clarke can be the difference.

I don't have an obsession with getting a big name but all the guys I mentioned have proven success at international level. No Scottish candidate can lay claim to that. Clarke is a reasonable appointment and it could have been a whole lot worse. I'll reserve my excitement for once he picks his first squad.

Think the appointment shows a bit of lack of ambition from the SFA. I would have preferred to have spent a bit of money on a big name foreign coach with International experience such as Slaven Bilic, Lars Lagerback, Jurgen Klinsmann or Guus Hiddink. That being said, he is far and away the number 1 Scottish candidate so lets hope he can get in there and get a few of the players who have missed squads recently to commit. The best news of all is that Scott Gemmill is nowhere near the job. The under 21s are brutal with one tactic. Boot it up the park.

So I stupidly got caught on my tod in Milan on Friday night and got jumped by 3 Italian dickheads. They were after my phone but luckily I managed to hold on to it but in the melee I dropped my Blairgowrie Tartan Army flag and they ran off with it so if anyone sees any ultras posting pics of it please share it. I heard a few people also got jumped in Bologna and some flags nicked. What was the story there?

What site did you book the train on?

We went there on the thursday night as planned and we had a great time and were very well looked after. Went to a few other places too that were also good fun. All in all Podgorica is a place i would love to go back to.

Its a normal Debit Card.

Also have to say the Starling Customer Service is excellent and they have a great 24 hour live chat service which is really good. You dont need to tell them you are abroad so no risk of card being blocked. Because it sends a message to your phone i even managed to catch a fraudulant transaction which i might have missed from my ordinary bank account. 7 of us in our group and we all agreed it was fantastic in Mexico and we all use it to travel now.
