  1. Yeah, some of the language towards him disturbs me. Kinda re-emphasises the fact there are an increasing number of knobs now following Scotland.
  2. On the contrary, eating several times a day is more 'natural' than, not just fasting, but eating three big set meals a day. Breakfast, lunch (dinner), tea (dinner) - that whole can of worms again! - is a relatively recent thing and not necessarily in our best interests. Eating five or six smaller and healthier portions is certainly my ideal and makes me my healthiest.
  3. I'm with Huddersfield on this. It sounds crazy to deliberately deprive yourself of food for an extended period. And anti-evolutionary, in the sense we wouldn't be here, like this, today if we did such crazy shit in the past.
  4. Fair doos, not gonna argue with facts. Surprised (and disappointed) in Kilmarnock. Genuinely never seen it and I live 5 mins from the town (since 2012) and venture in all the time. Also disappointed in Hurlford as I wrote a local history on the place and have a soft spot for it. Less surprised at Drongan, Cumnock, Auchinleck etc.
  5. I don't see them, chief. Not to say they don't exist right enough. I live in East Ayrshire and not seen one of them in years. Dark Ayrshire is dark, dark Lanarkshire is dark. But you can go about your life in most places without seeing the smelly bsstards.
  6. Not sure of tone of your post, i.e. if entirely serious or not, so apologies if I'm getting whooshed. But...No. this not true. Wouldn't want the northern and eastern contingent getting the false impression that everywhere in west central Scotland is like this. Just not the case. Parts of Glasgow, parts of (mostly north) Ayrshire, larger parts of Lanarkshire and a few others.
  7. Just me who thinks this scapegoating of O'Donnell is a bit bandwagonesque? Everyone now jumping on the idea that he's simply not good enough, woeful even. I was at the game and, yeah, he wasn't great. But the whole team were poor. The other full-back was equally as bad and not one person would suggest he isn't good enough. I think we can do better than O'Donnell at RB but not right now. It seems like a witch hunt when he, and the rest, need support. He'll probably get booed now because everyone is getting in a frenzy about needing someone to blame. I hope we have better options at RB soon, as I hope we have better options at centre forward and centre midfield and goalie. But O'Donnell is a decent player who has achieved much at club level, consistently playing well for the third best team in the country last season. I'd say back off and give the lad a chance.
  8. I genuinely believe this to be the case, too.
  9. Good to see the Geordies honouring their strong Dutch contingent from over the years with their strip. Rudy Gullitt's time in charge definitely worth celebrating.
  10. Well, if not biased then at least unprofessional. In the pub the night before refereeing a big game?! Unprofessional bigoted hun.
  11. See, I thought he was okay and a decent, steady defender. But not sure Malky can be classed as right up there.
  12. Jordi Cruyff and Paul Dalglish were two of my favourites. Both immense, incredibly talented and underrated. awesome.
  13. # the second craw fell an broke his jaw, fell an broke his jaw, fell an broke is jaw-aw-aw-aw... # etc
  14. Sat upon a wall? Probably craws. Was there another nearby rubbing its jaw?
  15. You say that, it's not that simple in reality. Not everyone is the same, not everyone has the same reactions to food. I have ulcerative colitis. I can no longer handle many fruits and vegetables. And different people with my condition have all sorts of varying experiences with different foods. Sometimes when I'm flaring, for example, the unhealthiest food is all I can handle. It's a fucked up condition and it has fucked up my life. Things ain't black and white. And there are all sorts of variables.
  16. That's nonsense. Players are not like that, voting for their 'mates'. Give them some credit. I've played for several teams and players' player was always valued as it's the vote of your peers. Those who value your contribution on the park most.
  17. Aberdeen a disgrace. Anti-football of the utmost. McLean an utter joke.
  18. Fewer. And all Dawkins was agreeing to was the likely assertion that a historical fella called Jesus existed.
  19. Dr David Kelly, Robin Cook, Willie Macrae. Which of these, if any, were murdered? I have suspicions about Kelly in particular. The more I read about Macrae the more it stinks too.
  20. It’s true. But it’s worse. His missus is French Canadian and leaves him signs throughout the house. “Ramie, ferme la Porte”; “Ramie, ou est la chat” etc .
  21. Fair enough. It's used as a derogatory name here but appreciate you know terminology better there.
  22. Albeit a William Wallace opposed to Quebecois being independent and referring to them in a derogatory way as separatists.
  23. Think it was c65 million years ago, the end of the Cretaceous.
