  1. Not sure why McGregor and Forrest getting singled out. They didn't start! And played OK when they came on.
  2. They certainly werenā€™t rubbish. Good you got to experience that.
  3. The Greece tournament win was brilliant. Itā€™s what keeps all the wee teams dreaming. People who tell you it was rubbish and boring tend to be the same people who say penalty shootouts are a lottery. They took on the best of Europe and won.
  4. I think people are seriously overrating Colin Hendry. He really wasn't that great. Yeah, he won the English league, but it was very much a sum of the parts team effort. He was good, but he wasn't brilliant.
  5. Really hope he can pull through. Awful.
  6. New Insigne, and itā€™s all over now.
  7. You can disagree with it if you like, that's valid (although I don't agree). But to stand and openly vent just makes those doing it appear to disagree with a show of solidarity against racism. It doesn't help.
  8. So it's quite clearly been said it's being done as a show of solidarity for black players and those affected by racism... and you're going to boo it? To be fair, you sound like a cock.
  9. Iā€™m not entirely sure what these reasons are, though. People are just trying to create grey areas; for what purpose, I donā€™t know. Canā€™t we just perform one simple gesture in order to show solidarity? Thatā€™s it. Thatā€™s all thatā€™s being asked. You wonā€™t actually be doing anything other than saying, Iā€™m on the side of those who are facing discrimination because of the colour of their skin. Associating it with defacing war memorials now? Wtf?
  10. I think we should be showing solidarity with those who face racism. I think we should take the knee. Not gonna ā€œgo in a stropā€ about it but strongly feel itā€™s the right thing to do.
  11. Not entirely sure I understand what McGregor's done wrong. He's been a mainstay of the midfield that's got us to this position and his work in recycling the ball and keeping things moving is vastly underrated by people on here. Some of the comments, I question if the person has ever played football. I tend to agree that potentially Gilmour will be an upgrade in that position in the next few months. I actually would like to see them play together against one of the stronger nations. Think they might combine well. I did think one of the two friendlies would've been good to see Gilmour feature from the start, but I think McGregor plays in Clarke's first XI so I understand it makes sense.
  12. Coady wonā€™t play in a back four. Wolves tried that. Heā€™s good in a three.
  13. šŸ¤¬ Fans canā€™t even get tickets and your feline gets one. Raging.
  14. Absolutely. Itā€™s a fair question. My ire not aimed at you, itā€™s the arseholes on Twitter saying she has to just get on with it, sheā€™s self-entitled etc, with no understanding of mental illness or of compassion.
  15. It seems their communications with her to that point had been quite intimidating, threatening expulsion from their events. I don't know the full ins and outs, but I'm not surprised she didn't respond. My sympathies are with her and it'll take a lot to convince me otherwise. Her health is understandably of primary importance to her (and her team).
  16. Maybe she did sign something. But what about them having some sort of duty of care in making the necessary adjustments to allow her to do her job while taking into account her anxiety? She's a tennis player, let her play tennis without causing her distress with unnecessary sideshows. I think it's a disgrace she's been forced into this. i'd also have liked to have seen some (one?) of her fellow pros support her.
  17. I have a bald patch now just like his one of old. True story.
  18. Youā€™re just saying that to be contrary! šŸ˜†
  19. Hmm, strange example. Although technically an English king, he was really a Dane and extended his rule by taking the English throne too.
  20. Jings. He was a good player. Seems a bizarre choice to use as an example of one of the best midfielders. There has been an enormous amount of revisionism about Scholes. Anyway, regardless of my feelings about the quality of the player, he was not in any way comparable to Pirlo, whose range of passing and ability to make room for himself and control the tempo of a game is not how I see Scholesā€™s legacy. Iā€™m sure youā€™ll tell me Iā€™m wrong, though.
  21. You're comparing Scholes to Pirlo? Dearie me.
  22. Stop quoting the jaikie wreck! Just stop! Three times. Jeez.
  23. Fucking gash statement.
