  1. Thanks, so if Wales finish second Czech Republic could still get into Playoffs based on Nations League ranking ? Hits home the importance of the Slovakia and Israel matches after the Serbia win. We could have had a playoff and promotion to the next Nations League A in the bank. If we secure second place it be good to be seeded and at least have a chance of two home matches. šŸ¤ž
  2. Are Austria guaranteed a playoff via their Nations League ranking ? Wouldnā€™t someone like Iceland or Bosnia get a playoff spot ahead of them if they didnā€™t finish top 2 in their sections which they are unlikely to do.
  3. Thanks for the correct info. Entry to North Section C was a fiasco last night, there in plenty time missed first 20 mins
  4. Anywhere I look this match is advertised as a 17.00 kick off. My emailed QR Code tickets say 19.45 Whats the right kick off time ?
  5. Iā€™ll console myself that if they do win this itā€™s taken England 60 years to win this tournament which for a football country such as their is a disgrace.
  6. Cheers Lads, heā€™s just done a ā€œDummyā€ run and tested negative, reported it and got an instant email. Same again next Wednesday night will be spot on.
  7. Iā€™ve had two jabs and a bout covid back in December, my son will need to LFT. I sent away for a pack of these LFT Kits a couple of weeks back but havenā€™t used any. Guess my son can just use one out that pack next Wednesday night ? How quick do they send the email to say your negative and are they reliable and accurate ?
  8. Entry 2 and a half hours before kick off ffs
  9. There will obviously be areas of mixed fans. There must also be a fair number of Scots who have and not yet lost Wembley tickets and will be in areas with predominantly Non Scots.
  10. Would UEFA not be better to have a short sale period for Czech and Croatia fans to see the uptake and if there are any spares generated, before commencing the Scotland sale. I canā€™t see UK based Czechs and Croatians taking up their 16 percents.
  11. Apparently a ā€œWarm up Matchā€ before they go on tour to South Africa, sold out too, but you donā€™t hear what their capacity is being restricted to.
  12. I bet anything you like, there will be a site more than a poxy 12,000 allowed into Murrayfield for a glorified friendly between British Lions and Japan on June 26th, a mere 4 days after weā€™ve played Croatia. I watch with interest how the authorities deal with the egg chasers.
  13. 10 in a row is not good for any country ( although one team didnā€™t compete for four seasons due to going off the rails ) even if itā€™s the other side of the arse that prevents it happening.
  14. The TA organisation that makes charitable donations might make one to an organisation in Rashfords childhood area ?
  15. I used to work down south several days a month in the 1990ā€™s and on a night would often take in obscure English lower league or non league matches. Usually around Leeds Manchester Birmingham. Occasionally somebody would stick out that if you were a scout youā€™d think youā€™d found gold. One night I was in Newport and went to see Cardiff v Wigan in 1996 ( Div 3 / was Div 4 ) around the time Wigan were introducing quite a few good Portuguese players. Cardiff won 3-0 and 2 goals were scored by a Scot called Jimmy Gardner, this guy was unplayable that night and looked a world beater. Apparently he played with Motherwell at one time. At the time I thought this guy had to move on to something bigger, he had so much skill. Anyone else ever see this guy play. Another guy in Scotland I seen a few times against my own club was Jimmy Robertson of Queen of the South who looked a brilliant player anytime I seen him. Strange how guys punters rate never get the breaks and total mediocrity seem to get on.
  16. After the great 89 minute performance in Serbia a week ago, the end to the Nations League was a huge disappointment even though we played well for large parts of both Sunday and last nights games. I think the euphoria of last Thursday covered a lot We were in a decent Nations League position only needing one win or two draws from our last two games to gain promotion to League A, but blew it. Israel at home 1-1 was terrible i'd be prepared to accept it was our first game in ages Czech Republic away was a big bonus against basically a reserve team, and we still struggled to win. Slovakia and Czech Republic at home following the Play Off win over Israel were good results and improved performances. Serbia for 89 minutes was brilliant. We have played Israel 5 times now in 2 years and only won once in normal time, and other that one point when leading the 3-1 at Hampden, never looked a better team than them. However there has been progress, particularly in defence, but unless we score first its doubtful if we are going to win. 3 Wins ( One against reserves ) 2 Draws and 2 Defeats against the opposition we have played since September is dead average. I'll probably get mowed down here, but upfront i'd like to try Dykes and Burke Here's hoping for a decent World Cup draw hopefully missing Israel.
  17. Thoroughly deserved result. Losing the 90th minute equaliser was gut wrenching like watching the expected script unfold, but we stuck at it and got the result. Credit to all the players. Like most of us that watched the Israel Nations league match I thought tonightā€™s performance away in Serbia was an impossibility, but delighted to be proved wrong. Squad has different options with decent quality replacements. Looking forward to the summer.
  18. Although it was hardly world class opposition, and taking into account the poor performance against them at Hampden, the 3-0 win in Lithuania in a must win match, is not far off as good as itā€™s been. Ireland 1-0 England 2-2 were ok results.
  19. Iā€™m sure this might have been done before, but after contributing to another topic, I thought iā€™d raise this one. My first and outright candidate would be Kevin McAllister Falkirk - Chelsea - Hibs. I can take if your playing for Falkirk your hardly going to get a look in, but in his time at Chelsea and Hibs he merited a cap, and Iā€™d argue he was a much better player than Pat Nevin who was probably preferred to him. Chip in with your selections.
  20. And Kevin McAllister cannie get in the team šŸ˜• best uncapped Scot Bar none, and a far better player than Nevin at the same time, even Chelsea supporters agree on this.
  21. You could argue that Bulgaria have been fortunate. Runners up to Norway then abysmal in the main qualifiers, theyā€™ve ended up in the league A play off with a home match v Hungary, then potential another home match against Iceland or Romania. Given league A inherited 3 teams from league C Iā€™d have argued that Iceland were entitled to be at home in the Semi and Final if they won their Semi, they shouldnā€™t have to play an away tie to any lower league country at this stage. BTW I donā€™t see Bulgaria qualifying but stranger things have happened.
  22. Czech Republic Either of the Irelands Romania
  23. Did a five day short break in Tuscany with Wife, her sister and man, last year. Were based in Viareggio, and toured about. Lucca is really nice, and Pisa ( Tower) worth seeing. We drove up to Rapallo and Portofino, on the coast, lovely places, also went to San Gigiminano and Siena, both awesome In Siena we parked in the perimeter of the football stadium a short walk to the centre. I didnā€™t really like Florence, but can say Iā€™ve been there. Viareggio on the coast close to where youā€™ll be has loads of good places to eat, this steak place is fantastic.https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Restaurant_Review-g194946-d10093524-Reviews-Otto_Etti_e_Mezzo_L_Osteria-Viareggio_Province_of_Lucca_Tuscany.html One point, watch your speed. In the five days we were there bro in law got two fines for speeding and I got one for going being in a restricted area in Pisa.
  24. Iā€™m not the biggest Fan of Rugby Union, and donā€™t really understand all the laws, from what I see thereā€™s too much going on to see everything, but do go to the England match every two years, when workmates from Leeds come north for the weekend, the social side is better than the spectacle. In this World Cup Scotland will have a tough task to qualify especially after their poor show against Ireland. Yesterday I watched the end of Japan v Samoa where Japan gained a bonus point for a 4th try. Can someone tell me. Why did Samoa not just end the game when they clearly couldnā€™t win the game. Why did the ref give Japan a put into scrum when every put in is squint anyway. Finally why do they award a bonus point for a close defeat ? No sport should award any points or credit for having lost
