Anyway back on track. I don't think any victory have given me so much satisfaction than last nights. I genuinely think the Republic of Ireland have been one of the luckiest teams in world football for a long time. So its nice to have a wee rub of the green.

I understand the origins. I think we went our separate ways around 1560. The similarity you refer to is more recent, around the late 19th, early 20th century and that is less endearing.
