Yeah I'm only on 16pts, but looking to do all 3 away matches, gutted about Switzerland allocation, already booked zagreb for slovenia.... I'm all 'about the football' though, so if I'm not getting a ticket, then my plans are toast... Pretty disappointing. Guess I will jst wait and see for the moment.

Anyone any guesses on allocations/points required for the other 2 away games?

No shame losing by 1 goal to a decent side. However, we've now played 3 major tournaments under this manager... and it seems he has learned zilch. Or do we really just have players who can't keep the ball? Who can't attack at all? Euro 2020 3 games (2at home)... 1 pt,1goal. -4 goal diff Euro 2024 3games 1pt... 2goals. -5goal difference. WC 2026.... well on our way to 3pts, 1goal and - 2 3 4 goal difference. The lack of improvement is shocking. We were outplayed in all our qualifiers, made haiti look decent, and we were shit feared of morrocco. Last night our coach managed to negate any of our threat from 2 world class left backs, and by not playing BGD. We showed zero ability, zero belief and zero ambition. Onwards and upwards though. Another 4 years of this. After Brazil, I look forward to coming on and taking this all back.

So poor. Exactly the same as we played in qualifying. The same as we have played throughout Clarkes tenure. However... 3 points, move on. I think we need a point somewhere else, or we will be out. Let's hope for a wee handshake draw on Friday night.

Yeah I'm sure, since you've stalked every post I've put on here, it certainly doesn't take long to find, in fact it's made pretty clear in my comments regarding Connor Barron on a relatively recent post. Anyway done wasting time with ignorance personified.

Negative view of Strachan... I liked him as a player, had no problem with him as a pundit, or as celtic manager. But he blew an open goal in one campaign and fcked up another. Then he had the brass neck to say 'he couldn't care less about the fans' live on radio after poland knocked us out. But yeah, I dnt like him cos I'm a rangers fan. Fckn mugs.

Ha ha...u need not suspect, I've said it many times. Then again u must be the same eejit as the other nut. I'll let u two have space. Happy clapping clowns

YOU MUST BE JUST AFTER A BITE...SO... Club loyalties...fck off, YA DAFT CNUT! Absolutely NEVER put my club before my country... and have stated 100s of times on here, or elsewhere, of my liking for numerous celtic players, for example calum mcgregor being the first name on most recent teamsheets, if I was manager. Even been a supporter of Scott Brown, who I couldn't stand in a celtic shirt. SFA WERE TO BLAME FOR BOTH SMITH AND MCLEISH LEAVING (AND FOR LOSING SMITH THE 2ND TIME)... FOR PAYING PEANUTS AND NOT GETTING THRM ON DECENT CONTRACTS. As for your TOTAL GARBAGE about france 98 being similar to recent euros..ur off hour fckn rocker. 1st game we put up a fight v defending champs and finalists in opening game (see germany June 24 for recent attempt at opening came if u need to compare). Drew and could have beaten the 9th ranked team in the world. And then lost v morrocco, with an ageing squad, in similar fashion to results at previous world cups v Costa Rica, Peru etc. Get a fckn life.

Sorry...at that moment, I had no time...sadly Mrs deso1 needed my attention....and if u think I'm negative, that's nothing compared to her. Anyway they're fairly self explanatory. Roxburgh...got us to 90 (at which we perfomed axactly as previous world cups), 92 (at which we performed as well, or better than could be. Bowed out 1tournament too late. Brown. Got us to 96 (at which we performed well). 98 (performed as well as every previous world cup). Smith (turned us round after volts disastrous spell, which I dnt blame volts for) made us at least competitive again, and bringing in mccoist/burns etc was a masterstroke...sfa fcked up. Mcleish 07 qualifiers (he recognised, he didn't need to change much after smith, but got caught out by injuries/complacency away v georgia)..sadly sfa penny pinching cost us again. Mcleish second time, had some shockers, but got more wins en route to euro 2020 than Clarke. Wish I could comment on managers before Roxburgh, but despite reading, watching documentaries etc, they're before my time. Reasons I didn't choose... Vogts...came at the wrong time, had shockingly bad pool of players, done as well as could be expected (despite some shocking results), but just missed something. Burley... failed to recognise that not much needed changed after smith/mcleish, ultimately that cost him, as well as the booze gate, which was blown out of proportion by the press, and cost scotland our best player. Levein...despite Kevin blom costing him in the Czech game, I rate levein as THE WORST OF ALL TIME, and that's discounting the no striker formation, his results v Wales etc were unforgiveable. Strachan...the happy clappers wet dream, despite having the easiest possible chance *before clarke* to qualify, he somehow blew it, and his general disdain for the fans after the poland match, still disgusts me to this day. ALL 4 of the above were given at least 1 campaign too many, by people who defended them, with the same defence that some defend Clarke with.

As I said, I'm not looking back through fixture lists to pick fault, I'm going from memory alone, and Scotland before Smith took over, were in a much worse state (which he then turned around) , comparison to what clarke took over, which was a squad that had already achieved a play off.
-
Not sure there is anyone who is currently vehemently anti-clarke, at THIS EXACT MOMENT, but given I seem to have been painted into that picture... One of the reasons why I have said I DO NOT BELIEVE HE SHOULD BE SACKED AT THE MOMENT, is that there doesn't seem to be any viable candidates. We are in a much worse situation regarding managers/coaches, than we are with players.

If I saw what I wanted to see, we'd be world champions...sadly it's not the case. As I said, I'm not looking through the past results, I'm telling you from memory... That I NEVER wanted steve clarke, and im happy to admit that, I wanted SMITH back at any point in the last 15yrs or so. But my memory tells me, that I didn't see ANY improvement in results/perfomances right through til the Serbia game (which I was happy to say, we played well, still didn't win the match, but ultimately qualified). We then embarrassed ourselves at home in the euros, and the England results is just one of the 'questionable' big results...as they were more than happy to take a draw. I was then ecstatic at the miracle minute in Norway, but it was not a gr8 perfomance, and apart from Spain (both games)...I question EVERY OTHER PERFOMANCE AND/OR RESULT....as for the year leading up to and including the embarrassment of Germany...HE SHOULD HAVE BEEN SACKED, especially after the ref comments...but our SFA would never sack a boss that's filling hampden... He has done enough, NO DOUBT, to remain in charge... but the previous managers mentioned were ALL given at least 1 campaign too many, I hope it won't be the same next year... I hope (and I honestly think) clarke will get lucky again...with a decent group...and better to be lucky than good. And yes, I can't believe it's March already... u done well to keep me at it.
