I think they should try to stay in the city centre. A day at the football is more than the 90 mins of the game in the stadium. Atmosphere pre match, going into pubs full of your fans, meeting up with your mates anf bumping into people you haven't seen for a whilr. bit of food a beer etc is what makes it a good day out. Driving a car out to an industrial estate and leaving 10 mins early to beat the rush onto the bypass doesn't do it for me. There obviously isn't space to build a world of football with training pitches etc at the current site but they don't need to be beside the ground.

I was reading an article about a slump in American football TV ratings and popularity and was wondering if we are about to see the same thing with our football. Got England v Spain on the telly and the fans are more interested in doing Mexican waves. Realised I have only seen a couple of matches this season and can't even really be bothered watching the highlights.
