  1. Why promise more powers 7 days before then? There was clear panic from Westminster
  2. Chips? Doubt I could finish it but would give it a good go!
  3. Yeah St Kilda would be better than the other options. More going on and close to the city / beach. Great place, not as obviously touristy as Sydney but always something to see and do
  4. The BBC certainly played their part http://www.newsnetscotland.scot/index.php/affairs-scotland/9619-the-dirty-dozen-the-case-against-bbc-scotland-part-2#comments This is what's so hard to accept about the result.
  5. I'm not so sure. His government essentially controlled better together behind the scenes and as a political force, couldn't have did any worse. They had a healthy lead and almost 100% of the establishment and still nearly lost.
  6. The media and Westminster would portray that as the SNP not cooperating, not looking after the interests of Scotland etc. Best to accept them but at every opportunity explain why these powers aren't enough to make the changes needed.
  7. Most people I think wanted Devo Max. These further powers if delivered will be nowhere near that
  8. I've always thought our centre halfs in general get more stick than they deserve. Especially the Burley and Levein years when they either had little protection or were expected to defend for most of the match. Berra is decent. Like Hanely and Martin has as many good games in him as he does bad ones. Wouldn't be too upset if him and Martin started.
  9. Supporting Scotland is how a lot of independence supporters showed their love for Scotland before the referendum took place. It's only natural the same people are going to be hurting.
  10. I lurk more than I post these days, especially pre and post vote and it's a word I've barely seen. Bizarre post
  11. Yep. Make no mistake, this was Westminster at it's most desperate. Easy to say now it wasn't needed but something spooked them into action and I think it was more than one poll. Ultimately more undecided voters went no and the 'vow' has to take a large credit for that
  12. Words can't describe how much I despise this man (in a political sense)
  13. Struggle to see Scotland getting genuine Devo max, unless there's another referndeum, Westminster at all costs will stop attempt to stop Scotland controlling it's own economy
  14. Doubt there will be a referendum backlash. Once the whistle goes the fans will all get behind the team as normal
  15. I'd have no issues with a no vote if A better together presented a positive case for Scotland within the union and B the media at least tried to be impartial. Sadly with such a close vote there's no doubt the unprecedented fear and scaremongering seen in the 2 weeks before the vote had a massive effect. Look as a country we can respect the no vote and put independence on the back burner and at least give Westminster the opportunity to deliver the change promised. Milliband after all said social justice was best achieved with a no vote (stop laughing up the back). But indepenence isn't going away. It's mainstream now. And will become a real issue when Westminster fail on the above promises like we know they will. For now the SNP should focus on delivering the best for Scotland, like it or not they are the best party for this, labour proved during the referndeum they are not the same party anymore.
  16. The above says a lot about your politics if you think the UK is that
  17. Braveheart? Check Nationalists? Check Salmond? Check Full house unionist talks nonsense bingo
  18. Thought Arfield was unlucky not to get a call up. Granted I've not seen Burke this season but would have picked Arfield ahead of him
