  1. Aye with Tommy Coyne a close second - sorry for breaking the rules.
  2. Man Utd and Motherwell prices have got bigger. So much for being smart and getting on early for a better price! Doh!
  3. Going for gold today! Early prices on Paddy Power gave me : Man Utd Evens Ipswich Evens Bradford Evens Motherwell 5/2 Trebles and Four Fold. Chasing prices? Probably
  4. Scenery in the background looks incredible in Christchurch. Pakistan dropped a few. I'll watch one more over then to bed - been saying that for over an hour now.
  5. Always fought temptation to look at cash out. Honestly think it would drive me insane. Norwich, Bournemouth, Oldham, Chesterfield. Four trebles and a four fold.
  6. Plymouth, Swindon, Northampton treble up yesterday so some of it reinvested on the 3 Premiership games today being draws. 3 Singles, 3 doubles and a treble.
  7. I'm sure the publicity these polls are getting will encourage the Unionists to come out in force against the SNP.
  8. The Brewers Arms rough? Really? Don't come for a wee bevvy in Motherwell or Wishaw. It may be way too much for you.
  9. The Brown Bear and The Brewers Arms are good boozers. There is a wetherspoons called The Leaping Salmon. For good food taxi over the bridge to East Ord to The Salmon or Ord House Country Park (opens 14th Feb for the season).
  10. Now called New College Lanarkshire. It has halls of residence on site.
  11. Aye totally ignore Motherwell, St Mirren, Aberdeen, Utd, etc, had to be one from Rangers one from Celtic so as no to upset anyone. Tosser.
  12. The past two seasons when we finished 2nd our goals against record was really poor. That was ignored when we were scoring and was never addressed. Paying for it now.
  13. http://labour-uncut.co.uk/2011/05/03/knowing-me-knowing-jim-murphy/ Admiration for Ian Duncan Smith!!!
  14. The YES movement missed a trick not getting more interviews from her and Kelvin Mckenzie during the referendum.
  15. Something sticks in my mind hearing that he pulled out of a commentary job for a Sky or Five Live because he was unwell at the weekend, may have been last midweek games, so rumours of depression a bit worrying.
  16. Aye probably unfair picking out individuals in that match. Whit a team performance! Remember a guy behind us, when King Kenny let the ball roll out for a shy, screaming "yer finished Dalglish, pack it in". Kenny received the ball from the shy and scored a beauty. Didn't feel a bit of sympathy for the guy who gave out the abuse when he was bombarded with a severe slagging.
  17. As a teenager watching Davie Cooper, Bobby Russell and Tom Boyd playing down the left at Fir Park was as good as football got for me. Cooper also involved in the best Scotland performance I've seen versus Spain 1984. He was the best Scottish player imo.
  18. Think we were all stunned when Big Buff signed.McLean built two great teams at Well. Coming up to the cup winning team along with Bobby Russell and Nick Cusack. Then a few years later with the likes of Seib Dykstra, Rab Mckinnon, Brian Martin, Paul Lambert, Tommy Coyne, etc. Happy Days. You can tell when Motherwell are having a stinker of a season we all start reminiscing
  19. McLiesh went to Holland to look at a striker and came back with a centre half, Mitchell van der Gaag, who was crocked. He did turn out to be McLieshs best signing. Big Alex had more to spend in one season than Tommy McLean got in ten, the then chairman splashed out the cash to piss off McLean for leaving. McLiesh spent £100k on Andy Roddie but worse than that and I'm sorry for reminding Well fans he spent £200k on John Henry who shortly afterwards moved to Fort William where he struggled to get a game.
  20. The 18 team top league must have proper relegation to make it work. Bottom 3 relegated 4th bottom involved in play offs. Sky would bite our hand off to show summer football (as long as someone could broker a decent deal for Scottish clubs - not confident on that tho) but they would sadly probably insist on 4 old firm games.
  21. There are also thousands of people with no connection to the Orange Order who go to see their parades each year and thousands who don't but are still very bigoted and most probably sadly voted No for bigoted reasons. Always surprised how some people underestimate the amount of bigots there are amongst us.

    Im Confused

Agree with OP. If we didn't have such a battle of a game on the Friday it would have been different. Maybe the boss showed a bit too much loyalty to the guys that done so well at the weekend, difficult decision right enough. Bit of inexperience by Robertson not going behind Hanley to cover him for 1st and he was unlucky for the pinball 2nd goal. Mulgrews unnecessary tackle where the second goal came from and him aimlessly jogging around in the box for their 3rd I'll put down to tiredness seeing I'm feeling kind. Think England would be in a similar position points wise if they were in our group and would probably be happy with it.
