  1. Happy New Year Irish. I can't recall us "coming out the blocks" at all during Strachan's tenure. It's part of our problem.
  2. This is quite the prickish post. If all the other teams are irrelevant why don't Rangers just piss off with Celtic and form a two team league and play each other every week? Pitch that idea to Doncaster and Regan - they'd probably go for it.
  3. Farage reaches new heights Take a look at @Nigel_Farage's Tweet:
  4. Jesus Christ was born on what day? http://www.history.com/this-day-in-history/christ-is-born
  5. "Forget the past, I can your game's ills", Stewart Regan, Chief Executive of the Scottish Football Association, July 2010 http://www.scotsman.com/sport/stewart-regan-forget-the-past-and-i-can-cure-your-game-s-ills-1-819139 Neil Doncaster has been with the SPFL (nee SPL) since 2009. If that pair saw it as a problem they would have done something about it by now.
  6. I have a love/hate relationship with Scotland at the moment. As The Proclaimers would have it: I hate my love for you.
  7. She needs more of a platform. Get her on Question Time, not every week, just fortnightly.
  8. http://www.scotsman.com/sport/stewart-regan-forget-the-past-and-i-can-cure-your-game-s-ills-1-819139 This was from 6 years ago. How would you say this is panning out, Mr Regan?
  9. Grace Dent: The deep irony of “abortion” is that if men as well as women were able to get pregnant, this tedious issue would have fizzled out circa-1100, possibly around the time of the establishment of universities. I agree with that. If men could get pregnant the whole world would be pro-choice.
  10. Using The Daily Mail and Fox News as sources really undermines your arguments.

    Oli Burke

Disagree. Burke should have been on from the start.
  12. More likely to be: "The revenue streams from the season tickets and merchandise sales, in particular the pink away top, combined with the projected income from England at Hampden, sees the Scottish game in a healthy position. But I wouldn't object to playing a friendly, for the right price.. "
  13. Wearing the poppy isn't political Not wearing one is ...
  14. Bino's, like me, can remember most of the 1980s and first half of the 1990s. I can confirm what Bino's posted is true. Back then the poppy was just another "flag" from a charity. It was partly worn by individuals to stop the tin rattlers in the street from pestering you "I've already made a donation pal." and partly worn as a mark of respect by individuals to church on Remembrance Sunday and the week leading up to it. It was all acceptable in the 80s. I'm amazed with where we've got to with this now.
  15. Again. I'm with Bino's on this one.
  16. Where is ScottyCTA when you need him? Matthew 6:2 "So when you give to the poor, do not sound a trumpet before you, as the hypocrites do" Donate to charity by all means, but there is no need to make a show of it.

    Snoddy Out.

This thread is about Snodgrass who is an attacking midfielder who when on form scores goals for us. I heard his club manager say he may be back in time for the England. I fear he'll come back too early again, not be 100% and be more of a liability than an asset at Wembley.
  18. I'm not defending BSkyB. I'm slagging off the SFA. Did your bird leave you for someone who works for BSkyB?
  19. Sky are a successful business whose market is increasingly complex due to advances in technology and people's viewing habits. SFA are custodians of the game in Scotland and have been watching Scotland's decline since the early 1990s and have yet to show any inclination of how to reverse it. Its unfair to Sky to compare them to the SFA.
  20. Paper roses, paper roses Oh how come Griffiths never plays from the start? Paper roses, paper roses. Oh with Gordon Strachan we must part.
  21. You are right. That is the wrong answer to a poor question. Here are a couple of better ones: 1. What would you give for a draw at Wembley, draw with them back at Hampden but then we go on to win the group and England finish second - but don't qualify because they are the worst runner up? Or 2. We win neither game but both England and Scotland manage to qualify for the World Cup. We meet England at the first match in the knockout stages and put them out. Plus you are able to choose the manner of the win (4-0 humping, winner 6 minutes into injury time, or penalties.) What would give for those?
  22. How would you feel if we won at Wembley but still bawsed up the group, finished third and England finished top?
  23. Pretty irrelevant if we fail to register a shot on target again.
