  1. Not sure if it's been mentioned earlier but anyone using "road trip" to describe their drive of a couple of hours.

    Held Up

3 and a half hours from Dundee, ridiculous queues. Returned after the game to find a parking ticket on my windscreen because I'd failed to notice a sign at the end of the street, not much larger than a postage stamp, in the dark when I'm hurrying to get in the ground. Tonight, Glasgow can go and itself! Doubt I'll be back for a midweek game.
  3. Should have been away after the Scottish Cup Final last season. Found out big time now that he doesn't have our star players but even when they were here we underachieved. No idea how to change a game, unable to motivate and just seems to be trying everyone in every position of his system, hoping to stumble across the right team. He will however get as long as possible to turn it round to save our chairman having to pay him off.
  4. Worse than the 4-6-0 in Prague. Manager and players looked clueless to react to how the game was going. Sadly we're still the biggest bottlers in world football. Still be there on Monday though!
  5. "I've put my Rangers before my family over the years and there will be thousands like me". Absolutely pathetic.
  6. Comres poll: SNP 47% Labour 20% Tories 14% Lib Dem 13% UKIP 5% Greens 1%
  7. http://www.thecourier.co.uk/opinion/columnists/jenny-hjul/sinister-side-of-scottish-nationalism-rears-its-ugly-head-as-election-heats-up-1.864247 This is probably as extreme as anything I've seen from the English papers. Utterly pathetic from DC Thomson but hopefully financial suicide for them in Yes city.
  8. http://www.thecourier.co.uk/news/local/dundee/former-dundee-mp-jim-mcgovern-told-to-leave-city-bar-after-alleged-confrontation-with-staff-1.862552 Not one instance of the word "Labour" in this report. Imagine if this had been an SNP MP/councillor...
  9. French / Algerian apparently. http://www.zerohedge.com/news/2015-01-07/three-paris-terrorists-identified
  10. The Ashcroft poll interviewed 2047 people - hardly limited compared to pre-referendum opinion polls. The YouGov poll still shows it was the coffin-dodgers that sealed it for No though, does it not?
  11. Alan, you have seen the breakdown of how different age groups voted haven't you? It is likely that in 5-10 years time those wanting independence will be in the majority. Therefore would it not be fair and democratic to address the will of the electorate should they continue to return SNP governments? I can just about accept that the vote was fair and democratic. I will however, never accept that the campaign, coverage and process were.
  12. Can we not just sing the first 2 verses instead and leave it at that?
  13. Thanks for the replies, hopefully more people will be aware of this and do the same.
  14. My wife's a Unison member. Does anyone know if the form in the link below is the one she needs to stop any of her fees going to the red tories? https://www.unison.org.uk/upload/sharepoint/On%20line%20Catalogue/13477.pdf
  15. If it's correct that there are approaching 10000 new SNP members already then it goes without saying that they aren't joining to just sit around party conferences for the next 15-20 years. I plan to join today as well, never thought I'd ever join a political party (always voted SNP though as a means to an end). We need to put pressure on the party and new leadership to consider standing on a platform of committing to hold another referendum (2020?) if returned by the Scottish people in 2016. In the meantime they need to be seen by the electorate to be consulting with businesses, European leaders, economists, etc to nail down the currency question, EU membership issues & roll out someone from DWP to clearly state the facts on pensions for all to see. The momentum has to be sustained, we have to continually discredit the BBC and the rest of the MSM and promote the alternatives to those around us. Never forget the dirty tactics of those opposing us but learn from them for the next time. Importantly we need to police ourselves better - we need to be seen to be whiter than white as unpalatable as that may seem at the moment. Defaced banners, egg throwing and a bit of jostling are trivial but have been blown out of all proportion by the media to portray the old caricatures of nationalism that turn the nervous and fearful away from our cause. It's still there for us and it doesn't have to be a lifetime away.
  16. Spoke to an old friend tonight at a wedding. Nationalist all his days, voted no. Said Salmond didn't sell it. Says he doesn't regret it, told him he will one day. How the can folk do that?
  17. Ashamed of my country (region) tonight. Fear over hope - so much for Scotland the brave. Gutted.
