Giz_Ton
Looking for advice on where to stay Friday night so that I can get to Stansted for an 8.40am flight on the Saturday morning. Ideally looking for a hotel we can get to from Wembley after the game and then get up early and make it on time for the flight. Currently looking at Ilford or Borehamwood or Walthamstow but not sure if it is feasible to get there after the game using public transport and getting transport from there to Stansted. Why does Morton and Scotland have to play the same weekend? Nightmare !!!!!!!!!!!
macwomble
Can see why you would want to head the other way after the game but I'd consider going back into Central London. Stay near Liverpool Street Station. Travelodge Liverpool Street £69 for the night. Then 2 options: Trains start at Liverpool Street before 4am and only take 45 mins. 06:10 gets you to airport at 06:57 06:25 arrives 07:12 There are some advance tickets on sale at £8 normally £19 for a single on the Stansted Express website! OR Easybus.com 05:20 from Liverpool Street gets you to airport at 06:45 06:20 from Liverpool Street gets you to airport at 07:45 Big advantage of bus is its only £1.95 at present

Mox
Aye, anywhere beside Liverpool Street or Tottenham Hale and you can just jump straight on the stansted express from there.
Brummie Hibs
Tottenham Hale is a sh1thole - avoid. Better of staying in Harlow or Stansted Mountfitchet or even Broxbourne, but getting there after the game would be the problem unless you arrange mini-cab to pick you up at stadium after the game.,
