Rich NATA
Utrecht... Any of you been? What's it like?
Grim Jim
Had a one-night stopover there as a change from Amsterdam. Was pretty quiet, though it was an autumn night. Had supper here https://www.grandcafelebowski.nl/ Easy to get to, and good if you want to avoid the party. Did Scheveningen once too if you fancy a beach. A tram ride from The Hague. Jon Cutler
Great couple of days there, when I went to see The Stranglers at the Tivoli a few years ago.

I live in Amsterdam and work in Utrecht so I reckon I've a pretty decent idea. Utrecht is quieter but a great city with good nightlife. Lots of pubs and lovely canals, rivals Amsterdam in a lot of ways. The first stop in between Utrecht and Amsterdam is Bijlmer Arena, so it's just as easy to get to the stadium. Would recommend 100%! Rich NATA
Thanks for all the replies. I was quick off the mark to book a flight to Schiphol, but didn't get around to booking a hotel. There's plenty availability, but it's a tad pricey, so I was considering Utrecht instead. Never been there before, whereas I've stayed in The 'Dam for the last 3 matches against the Dutch (even when we played in Arnhem) and as RossHamilton says, the train stops at the stadium. Anyway, once again, thanks all.
