  3. No worries I signed up anyway. Though looks like they can see I am using a VPN. Will keep presevering 🤞
  4. Cheers fer yer reply. No would happily pay that. Only think it said only available tae UK residents. Will see if I can get aroon that wi a VPN
  5. Does anyone know of any TV channels where game will be shown and where it is possible to do pay per view ie one off payments for game. Gutted I missed the Ireland game. Ziggo showed the hame game against Ukraine here in NL but not Ireland game. Ireland game was on Premier Player but no way I am signing up to yet another football player and why do they not give an option to pay for one off matches. Scandalous that with such an important game many of we TA scattered around the world won't be able to watch Any ideas ? Cheers Angus
  6. More or less happy with the squad. Che Adams a good striker and welcome addition. Playing well with Saints. One request to Steve Clarke, please no Scott McTominay at right back. The lad is having a great season(s) at Man Utd, play him in his best position.
  7. As much as I love belting oot the auld classics maybe time SFA should be updating it's playlist. Ma choice wid be Gerry Cinnamon " Hope over fear " topical and could imagine everyone belting oot the chorus https://youtu.be/FSFwqjYnZTg Any other songs yoos can think of ?
  8. 😄 true better no ruin her holiday, she's got her wee binoculars looked oot. Suppose clinging tae the belief there is a Nessie ( which I suppose I do ) is much like clinging tae the belief Scotland will once again qualify for a tournament. 😂 Better see a big improvement on Sunday fae this team and manager.....
  9. Cannae believe what I watched last night. As previously said by others , no real leaders / captain on show, we missed Brown.. Also wi Tierney and Robertson on the left I was expecting attacking runs like both do for their clubs ... nothing. We had 2 shots on goal aw night and wan o them wuz a penatly. Aw this against a team who were down on their luck, no wins in 10 games. Why were we no attacking fae the get go. We will be lucky to top this group going on last nights performance. Coming oer fae Holland fer the Portugal game then af tae Loch Ness fer 3 days. It will be my 5 year old daughters first mens game. She's gonnae hate me...firstly watching us get humped then finding oot there's no really a Loch Ness monster ; )
  10. Lucky my 4 year old daughter was shattered and wanted tae go hame ..left early at 4 - 0 and by the time I waved my mrs and wee yin off and headed back tae O'learys it was 6 - 0. Was talking wi lassies sitting next tae us. They reckon oor keeper Fay was past her best / piss poor. Aye they defo looked nervy. Clelland who came on at half time looked in a mair attacking frame of mind. Nice to meet the TA who made it tae O'learys. Was back efter game. Mrs only seen message next day...better I had swapped numbers.Ach weil....next time : ) Tried tae stick soom photos up but didnae work . Cheers Angus, Natasha and Niah
  11. Cheers btw, reposted in my other topic. Are you going tae the game ? Heres a link
  12. Thought that I should repost this here , aye sad state of affairs but oan the other hand it was oan a list along wi things like wimbeldon, 4th of july etc...basically Is Is are saying bomb everything. No saying don't be vigilant because wise tae be aware. On the other hand security has been stepped up massively. A couple of points...advisable not to take rucksacks to the game. Email should have been received by all ticket holders as this will cause delays getting in. Also only printed A4 tickets will be accepted not PDF files on whatever on yer phone. Gonna be 30 degrees tomorrow wi chance of rain / lightening later...will be like a hame game then...pissin doon. PS Nae tartan burkas
  13. Aye seen it oer here ( utrecht ) too...along wi the list of the other targets Is Is want tae target...which is basically any event in the free world. Security here has been stepped up , but eyes open advised.
  14. Smelliest guy I ever came across was a guy sitting a few rows in front of us at the Czech game in 2011, who shat himself. Jeeezus never seen seats empty so fast around that poor guy. Maybe he was expressing his opinion through the medium of his arse about the controversial penalty in stoppage time
  15. Thanks, glad to offer my local knowledge. Checked a few days ago. More than 500+ tickets sold spread over both Scotland sections.Whether that will all be Scots or also some locals too. Sadly not on par with mens team but here's hoping we sing louder than the english as we always do : )
  16. Cheers Mick, hopefully see you there . I see yer fae Blackpool, are you the bloke I was drinking wi in Weatherspoons by any chance ? Trains fae Amsterdam are every 15 minutes and take 30 minutes journey time. Use this train website ( also a telephone app ) in english http://www.ns.nl/en Or 9292 plans your journey complete walking, bus, train etc ( also available as an app ) and also in english https://9292.nl/en Cheers Angus
  17. As I posted earlier, I have been living in Utrecht fer last 15 years and couldnae believe oor luck that Scotland England game is here. Ma daughter is Scotland daft but never been tae a game, so this worked oot a treat Anyway I thought it was my duty tae offer up some insider knowledge of Utrecht. Beautiful city with a large student population, way better than shitty Amsterdoom. Its small enough that you can cover city centre easily on foot. PUBS: There are lots of pubs on the Oudegracht which is the main canal / drag through the city centre. If you cant be bothered searching anything oot just head for the Oudegracht. O'LEARYS http://www.olearys-utrecht.com/ Best pub in centre ( edge of ), I already spoke to the owner Adrian about posting here and he is more than happy tae have Tartan Army visit his premises. Forget O'Connels ( theme pub ) this pub is run by genuine Irish, they also import Guiness fae Ireland so you're not drinking that Belgium brewed namesake. Food is also like home cooking, all dishes you would get in the UK, even the feel of the pub makes me feel at home apart fae the big bloody windmill across the road. He's also got big screens etc for those who don't make the game. If you go, tell him Angus sent you : ) KAFE BELGIE https://www.facebook.com/KafeBelgie This pub is situated on the Oudegracht itself. Over 100 beers to choose from. Friendly crowd of serious drinkers Also do decent food too. MICK O'CONNELS http://utrecht.mickoconnells.nl/ Also a popular pub and again situated in the centre. Not my choice of haunts but does sell decent beer and food is also ok ( so I here ) To be honest plenty of decent pubs in centre just explore. THINGS TO DO Climb the Dom Tower https://www.domtoren.nl/en In Holland the tallest building in most city centres is the church. Utrechts Dom Tower is defo worth a visit. Bit of a climb but fantastic views of the city. A lot of history. Take a boat on the canal. Loads of cruises or take a canoe or pedalo around the vast waterways of Utrecht. Nice way to see the city fae another perspective. MUSIC Loads of decent music venues in Utrecht. TivoliVredenburg, Tivoli De Helling, ACU, EKKO, DBs and RASA. I am an old punk masel so ACU is more that kinda thing plus sells vegan food. DBs is my local ( practice there with my band ) and has a wide variety of bands plus cheap beer ( though not in centre ). Both Tivoli venues are the main concert venues of the city. EKKO is the a good spot, does food and decent bands from time to time. Hope this is of help and hopefully see yoos there either in O'Learys or at the game Cheers Angus
  18. Me , ma girlfriend and daughter are going tae the England game in Utrecht cos we live here fer last 15 years. Couldnae have worked oot any better. Ma daughter just turned 4 and is Scotland daft but has never been tae a game, so this will be her first game I was gonnae post a list of places tae go and best pubs tae drink in etc I will make another thread about that. I met a few lassies fae Elgin and a lad fae Blackpool in London Victoria Weatherspoons after England game who were all thinking of coming over for this game...hope they do. Been following Scotland masel fer 40+ years but this will be ma first ever Womens game. Lots of tickets already sold from what I can see, but it's no sell oot. If anyone is going and has any questions about Utrecht, just drop me a line. No oan here much but I will answer any queries. Utrecht is a great city so anyone coming will have a blast. Way better that shitty Amsterdam. Cheers Angus
  19. Exactly...like I said in my first and other posts...it's not just the possibility that tampering went on ( if it did ) but all the other factors they used to scare people into voting no. The referendum was only granted cos they ( Westminster ) thought it was a NO done deal ( Alex Salmonds words ) As it became evident that more and more people were siding with the YES campaign the 'dirty tricks' kicked into action. Got a NUMBERS CRUNCHING message from INDY 2.0 actually closer than you think: " NUMBER CRUNCHING: At INDY 2.0 we've noticed a strange habit developing in many online comments. Some of those who voted No are claiming (as part of a range of arguments) that the final count was 1.5 million for Yes and 2 Million for no. Now, I have no problem rounding certain figures up or down, but it surprised me that the Yes voters engaged in these online debates weren't immediately correcting these false figures. Letting these figures simply slide gives the impression that there is a whopping-but-not-that-whopping 500,000 vote difference between Yes and NO (1.5 Yes, 2.0 No) - meaning that just over quarter of a million No Voters would have had to shift to Yes for Yes to win. Not so! The figures, even if you round them DOWN, are 1.6 Yes and 2.0 No. 1.6 folks! Not 1.5. The actual figures are even more generous to Yes, so kind are they that you may not want to round them down ever again. 1,617,989 YES 2,001,926 NO Rounded up, these figures are: 1,618,000 YES 2,002,000 NO The difference between these two figures is clearly NOT 500,000 as many seem to believe (even many Yes folk seem to have accepted it as a fair approximation). The mathematically correct difference between the two figures is a far less impressive: 383,937 (or 384,000 rounded up) Now cut THAT in half and round it up slightly and you'll have a better idea of how close we got to a Yes victory on Friday! The answer is: 191,968 That means that all Yes needed was for 192,000 No voters to change their minds. Not bad when you consider that 3,600,000+ voted on the day. In other words, if we'd had less than 200 thousand extra votes for Yes...we would now have Independence. So why did they choose to show us a map that was almost entirely reddened by No? A rhetorical question, borne of frustration. Pick yourselves up Yes, dust yourself down, and reward yourself by calling this an incredible victory for an "impossible" movement. "
  20. I am not being a conspiracy fuktard thank you very much ...merely sharing something I found in the news. As mentioned in another reply, the story running on various news channels. Am I angry yes...am I politically active also yes ( no need for personal attacks ) I agree with others that the election wasn't won by vote rigging alone, but it is possible it went on to a degree but in my first line I stated other reasons too. It was rigged on many fronts. It was rigged cos they had the full force of the media backing them. It was rigged cos they used the banks to scare the electorate with the threat of a rise in interest rates etc It was rigged cos people like me couldn't vote...a Scot who was forced to move abroad tae work cos I couldn't make ends meet at hame. Where was my voice ?, yet 360,000 english living in Scotland got a say ??? How does that work. Especially when Cameron talking English votes for English laws....what a about Scottish only votes for a Scottish referendum ?
  21. Apart fae the overwhelming media bias, the scare mongering fae the banks and big business and the blatant lies of the politicians. Video has appeared claiming 3 examples of evidence of vote rigging and it looks right enough. If that's what got caught on film then makes ye wonder how much went oan. Most people I know friends or family who were voting YES, buzz on the streets seemed to point tae YES....then it's 45 % ??? Scroll tae 0,50 seconds as the intro goes on a bit Anyway make yer ain minds up...just felt I had tae share Cheers Angus
  22. I understand why emotions are running high, I agree many of oor countryfolk let us down big style and I see many of these posts made 1 day after the referendum but seriously dissappointed that some of yoos are no gonnae sing ? I WILL be singing for the 45% who had the balls to say YES , for the backing of oor team and to show the rest of the world, especially the English, they may have won this round but oor time will come. What next , we're not gonna chant Scotland, Scotland cos we lost 1 referendum..come on ??? We WILL rise and be a nation again, once the sheep grow some balls. The whole bloody thing was a joke from the start, I am 47 and worked in Scotland most of my life but through financial reasons was forced to seek work abroad. For that reason I was not entitled to vote...yet 360,000 english living in Scotland were ??? aye right. Democracy in action. The vote should have been for Scots only and from everywhere. Hope we all pull together and belt FOS out
  23. I think the game should be played, gie everyone something tae get behind, restore a bit of pride. We've got wur tickets and am looking forward tae belting oot Flower O Scotland and making oor passion heard and if we play like we've been playing recently a win wid be nice n aw. Shocked at the scenes yesterday in George Square, but then what would you expect from these trolls. As a Scot in exile ; ) wan thing I don't miss aboot hame are these thugs... burning Saltires FFS ??? Let's hope the 18th is aboot the fitba and the eejits stay at hame
