  1. Hope for our sake that England win, but I'll applaud Slovakia if they get a result. Fair play to them, as someone said elsewhere.

    2nd Place

Dammit. My next thoughts/fantasy were to get 12/12 points and hope to sneak into Div.B. Since the March 2020 NL play-offs for the 4 Euro places are ONLY for teams that have NOT already qualified (20 places), we could possibly get a bye to the Euros even if we were last in our pool of 3

So reading more on this... Lets throw this competition completely and get 0/12 points remaining Is that too late to drop us to division D for the nations leagues? (i.e. among the worst 16 in Europe.) That could be our best chance of getting to Euro 2020: Win our division D pool and we then have semi+final play-offs vs the other 3 div.D winners. What can possibly go wrong?

Explaining it would be difficult. Makes my head hurt. However, there will still be familiar euro qualifiers for 2020. 4 of the 24 places though, will come from the Nations Leagues. For that, we'll be in a 3/4 team group with teams close to us on UEFA ranking. Those rankings have not been updated since 2016 I think, but will be fixed before the 2018 WC play-offs. Dunno if there are pots, or if its 100% by ranking. NL group games are Sept, Oct, Nov 2018 before normal qualifiers start Mar 2019.

    Slovakia's Georgia may yet come.
  6. Should be short yes, but should not have your shirt hingin' oot the sides. Difficult after an evening's entertainment I know.
  7. The last couple I mentioned are around the £50 mark, but find them to have richer flavours than typical younger whiskies. However, have had some favourites for less than half that. 5-10yo Glen Grant, Chivas 12yo and the Bailie Nicol Jarvie blend for instance. In the pub, a Whyte & Mackay will do me fine.
  8. It was/is a great idea, but has burned a lot of cash Hope to get some back if I get bored with it.
  9. I aye get them mixed up myself, and long wondered also. So you've finally prompted me to look them up shaddy. TASA - "Welcome to the home of the original and longest established charity funded by Scotland fans, the aim of which is to make a donation to identified children’s charities in every country in which the Scottish National Football Team plays matches. Since 2003, this has been achieved – uninterrupted." TACC - " We spend all year raising as much money as possible to support disadvantaged children in Scotland and in the countries we visit to watch Scotland play. ... ... On behalf of Scotland's football supporters we then make grants to desperate children's homes and projects, take children to their first Scotland matches, and generally try to brighten up the lives of children who need it the most." So away vs mostly home?
  10. Aye, I spent a lot more than I intended on a 2nd hand one. They are fragile too (to save weight), so need treated gently as wee fiddly fixes cost ££. Fridge door catches, skylight blinds and so on. Thing to do at the NEC is to pick the layout you want. i.e. beds & seatbelts: how many and where.
  11. New? You'd be covered by warranty I expect. 2nd hand, I'd want a habitation report. This will do gas safety checks, etc., but mainly you want to know that it does not leak in rain. They can have dampness problems at certain weak points and that will be expensive to repair.
  12. I accept my wording was not exactly what I tried to express. (Typical for me, that.) My italics were meant to stress that paying Sky IMO does not on the whole support Scottish football. I've probably fecked up that sentence anaw!
  13. "My" £100 threshold was actually a number picked from someone's earlier post. I do have a bee in my bunnet about giving Sky any money.
  14. Ha ha, it was you that posted Dillinger a long time ago then? I'm a softie and can barely get past Black Bubblegum From that, I'll guess you mean the singer of the first The End track I posted, Semrick-Palmateer? Aaron Wolff on the 2nd, and maybe turning away from mathcore was their end. I'm guessing that, since I couldn't find much on them, but know Wolff put some stuff I like on Soundcloud as Solitary Sun here https://soundcloud.com/solitary-sun I'll have a rummage for Mare, cheers.
  15. Just my opinion, but I don't see a massively cash inflated league next door to us as a good thing.
  16. Good to see Bladnoch distillery has reopened. After closing, remaining stocks shot up to collector's prices just as I drained my 10yo cask strength bottle. Was really nice. Bought from the sweetie shop in Moffat. Gonna be a few years before the new owners put out anything affordable again for me I think. To match the prices, their new bottles look like expensive perfumes. My old one had a mug shot of a sheep on it. Meanwhile enjoying Ben Riach 16 and Glencaddam 15. Magic.
  17. They're churning out gin now too as its trendy and gives a quick return.
  18. So DB TA, are you supporting Scotland in that? Boycott them sir!
  19. Ombdy paying £100 a month to Sky/BT is not a Scotland supporter.
  20. Expect just to come up to the Premiership and beat the big teams? Pah!
  21. Street names do annoy me. Down our way there is a housing development called Georgetown. Is cool though as it's named after the local WW1 munitions works, in turn after Lloyd George, that kent ma faither.
