  1. Lol, this was back when you could legally drive down through the station then back up the other side .
  2. Would be the most popular non-Scot I'd imagine. I sat next to him once at a BP Youth cup match back in the mid nineties. It was in the directors box at Easter Road- leather padded seats! Hibs v Hearts. Jambos won 0-1. A penalty. A year or so later I saw him driving a Renault 5 through Waverly Station. Anyways, I certainly wouldn't grumble if he got the gig. We're old mates, Mick and me!
  3. We'll just need to keep our fingers and toes crossed for a bit longer then 🤞😉
  4. And the scores so far... Go 3 Stay 8 (includes 1 on condition it gets refurbished)
  5. 5 with a band of tartan running through the background maybe?
  6. I don't mind keeping the tradition of the Auld Enemy going for a wee while longer. After all it's just a friendly local rivalry! It's fantastic entertainment/drama with deep historical roots and is a very appealing part our footballing DNA.
  7. Hampden needs some work, no doubt. Strip it down and redo the concrete, the facade, the seats, stick a new roof on it and absolutely nail it down contractually as the permanent home of the national team. Before any of that we need Reagan to 'retire' and then finally put an end to the apparent cronyism that exists at the SFA!
  8. ...well, maybe the SFA & EFA could come to a gentlemans agreement about it- I won't do your ex if you don't do mine. Sorted!
  9. It should be a rule that if someone has managed England before then they should never even be considered for the Scotland job, and vice-versa. A rule purely for the purpose of preserving the special and historic rivalry between us. (I hope I don't get pelters for this)
  10. Stomp down to your local JD sports, grab the store manager by the throat and DEMAND satisfaction! Just kidding. The free flag is nothing to write home about tbh.
  11. I think it's distasteful. No Scotland player should ever be booed for reasons of club loyalty - what's good for Scotland is always more important than what's good for Aberdeen, Hibs, Real Madrid, Gala Fairydean, Forres Mechanics etc.
  12. If Donald Trump hasn't tweeted it then it isn't real... yet.
  13. Fair play mate. They are very pricey for what is in effect just a t-shirt you wear for kicking a ball around in. This new strip is a thing of beauty- a real classic, so when the price eventually drops I'd highly recommend getting one. I should add that I bought mine for £51 after a 15% discount using my SSC card... but my bank account still felt it.
  14. Stevie Mallan's strikes could have been a bit more accurate. But overall we didn't look bad. It's just that Latvia defended really well, so hats off to their lads for that.
  15. Pricing issues aside, I think it's a really beautiful Scotland strip. The medium size feels like the exact same fit as the previous strip. I bought it because I like it, but it did cost me £51. Steep!
  16. Oh yes, it will be mine!!!
  17. New strip will be introduced for this game. Current white sleeve strips are on sale at JD Sport for only £15. I paid £55 for mine... ho hum.
  18. Promote Scott Gemmill while we're between campaigns. Short term contract filled with as many friendlies as possible. See how he goes with bringing some youth players into the senior squad with him. Try get as many games against Eastern European and Scandinavian opposition as we can. Don't put too much pressure for results - just give time to blood as much talent as we have - get some caps on them - fart about with shape and tactics and stuff. It would make for an exciting experiment!
  19. Get your C.V in there big man! You'd probably be far more welcome than Malky.
  20. I would not be in the slightest bit happy with him either mate. I would be happy to demonstrate and chant him out from the stands, get rid of him that way... if it comes to that. But hopefully it won't.
