That’s perfectly understandable after all these years m8. There’s the initial buzz of retirement then all the excitement and planning of what next and how to celebrate. Inevitably there’s a come down or a point where day to day reality hits in. Give it some time and be patient with yourself and others. Above all, keep us all updated, you’ve done a brilliant job so far and a lot of guys and girls on here will come to the same point you are at now in the near future, so we are all rooting for you 👍

It’s the evolution of the transfer policy. More aggressive, more risk, higher fees, higher wages, higher sell on and quicker. it’s not revolutionary, Benfica have been doing it for some time. The trick is to get more right than wrong i.e. for every Edouard there will be an Ajeti 🤷🏼‍♂️

I think Abada is terrific. People forget he’s only 21 and yet his goals/ assists numbers are eye watering. He’s still a bit raw but I’d be keeping a hold of him for sure unless we get another offer that’s too good to turn down. Turnbull is a funny one. I think he’s a smashing player but I just don’t think his languid style really suits Celtic. I’ve seen evidence of him trying to adapt but as yet he hasn’t really pulled it off. Maybe Rodgers will give him a new lease of life. All the ‘in the know’ people are saying with some confidence that we will break our transfer record more than once this window so I’m pretty relaxed about replacing Jota & Mooy. We may even lose someone else but Carter Vickers would be the most difficult to replace imo.

He suffers from chronic back pain. I guess he’s reached the point where he has to do something about it or stop putting his body through it. An op at this stage would involve 12/18 months out with no guarantee of success. He’s a pretty laid back guy who I don’t think possesses Andy Murray type levels of dedication, so he’s probably made the right call 👍

Haha, I think I was due a bit of good karma but I’ll try and spread it around next time Tidy 😉 I felt sorry for some of the staff working, many of whom had no clue how they were going to get home. Hopefully the SFA sorted them out with taxis or something.

We played an absolute blinder last night! Got in nice and early thereby missing the worst of the rain. When the game was halted we took the inspired decision to go to the pub and had 4 maybe 5 pints. When it became clear the game was going to restart we made our way back to the stadium and made up a rather pathetic sob story about having to take an elderly relative home. Anyway after much to-ing and fro-ing with stewards and supervisors they let us back in! (Although we did miss about 20 mins) On the way back to the bus I had planked a few cans in a bush for the return journey and lo and behold they were still there! So, while everyone else moaned about the feckin traffic we sat and had a leisurely booze to celebrate another glorious victory! Got home about 1am tired but happy, although I don’t think my hangover has kicked in yet. If Carlsberg did rain delayed matches……. 😃

Totally agree with this. I don’t think either team really deserved the win but we restricted them to very little which in itself was a success. The only blip was our failure to link up with Dykes and create anything meaningful. Once we changed the system and went looking for a goal we both created and scored. It’s a massive result at a difficult venue at a traditionally troublesome time of year for us. All credit to the manager again and the players
