  1. It's a real shame about Patterson because there is a decent player in there somewhere. Hopefully he can rediscover his form with Everton although it sounds like Ginger gravel gob's style of play/coaching has sucked the life out of him. Hopefully the source on the Brentford forum saying Hickey is back early-mid May is true because we need him. Lewis Ferguson looked bright and so hopefully he and Shankland start the next one. Maybe Dykes is the opposite of Samson as he seems to have gotten worse with longer hair. Shave it off again.
  2. Could have been better. Could have been worse. We have a chance. It's the hope that kills you. Three things in life are certain. Death, taxes and England getting a plum draw.
  3. The result in Oslo was absolutely massive. Had we lost then I doubt Haaland would have played against the Faroes last week and would most likely have been saved for yesterday. All in all an excellent campaign with a little bit of good luck in that we were without our key players for dead rubbers.
  4. Rodri can jog on. Their diving and cheating in the first half was ridiculous and I'm glad we gave them a taste of their own medicine in the second. They got what they deserved and so did we.
  5. They're such cheating gits. Milking any contact trying to get VAR checks and cards.
  6. I ken but let's not give the ref or VAR the excuse to card our players.
  7. Stupidity from Robbo who with his experience should know better. Could easily have been a red card. Yes contact was minimal but was needless.
  8. If Labour can't beat the Tories at the next election given all that has happened then Starmer would have to step down anyway and it may be Tory England for ever more regardless.
  9. Surely Sturgeon's best hope is for a hung Parliament at the 2024 general election and for Labour to rely on the SNP to form an alliance to oust the Tories. Starmer will always rule out a coalition but he may not have a choice if forming an alliance is his only hope of kicking out the Tories.
  10. Maybe best to get one of the Norway games out of the way in June when Haaland is hopefully a bit rusty after having finished playing for City for the season. Wishful thinking perhaps.
  11. Not sure what the humidity will be like but the temperature in Qatar in late November is usually 23-25C and so it's actually not too bad.
  12. I said we 'could' be through if we win our first two games and didn't suggest this was likely. Was merely pointing out one scenario. I also said IF we get through (to Qatar) in the post I made just prior to the one you took the trouble to respond to but perhaps you missed that.
  13. Are you saying there's no chance we could be through if we beat Iran and USA before we play England?
  14. We would play USA then Iran before England so we could be through before the last game
  15. Dancer!!!! We have England, USA and Iran if we get through
  16. England, USA and Iran would be superb Qatar have a hard group with Senegal and the Netherlands
  17. England get USA as second seeds. They always get a jammy draw.
  18. Unless I'm mistaken it's pretty unlikely we'll be drawn with Poland or Serbia. There would need to be two non European teams drawn from Pot 1 and Pot 2 in the same group for that to happen. I expect they will need to re-draw a few group numbers when it comes to Pot 3 as we're likely to have a few groups with two European teams in them already after Pots 1 and 2 are drawn. It's v unlikely but Qatar, USA, Serbia and us would be immense. Or alternatively, Qatar, Switzerland, Iran/Tunisia and us.
  19. Don't get me started on that. World Rugby screwed us over royally by locking in the seedings while we were temporarily outside the top 8 and their darlings Japan were in the top 8. Three years before the actual tournament FFS
  20. Good to see Lewis Ferguson get a start and Ryan Jack back in the fold.
  21. What has Patterson done to P off Lampard. Everton fans watching that must be thinking wtf
  22. I support Josh Taylor when he fights but often cringe when I hear him speak. I get that most pro boxers need to have incredible self belief and can be gobby pre fight but he often comes across as a bit of tw4t. Jack Catterall on the other hand seems a more decent bloke with more class. I heard Catterall say yesterday that when he went over to hug Josh after the fight the first thing Josh said was 'I won the fight' rather than saying 'good fight' or 'well done'. Josh was pretty fortunate to beat Prograis which was a draw IMO. He probably got the decision because it was in the UK and the final of the super series where a draw wasn't an option. Anyway, if Josh goes to 147 good luck to him. I think that Catterall v Prograis would be a great fight at 140 for the undisputed but that's probably easier said that done.
  23. After just reading your posts I couldn't have put it better myself.
