So if Bannan is Bolton's best player, why do they feel the need to get someone in on emergency loan?
-
No need to be abusive. You can pick out certain games and certain goals over the course of his 102 caps and given the success and impact he had at club level, I think he underachieved at International level.

Guess which one is catching all the flak today and having to deny he used to sniff glue. -
Got to ask yourself what's going on in your head. Comparing Bannan to Messi, Iniesta or Xavi. They are the same height, that's about it.

It's Friday the 13th, not April Fools day.

Alex Davey went to the same tournament but he doesn't seem to be getting anything like the grief that Feruz does. Then again Feruz "owes" Scotland. In hindsight, his decision to go to the tournament with Chelsea may have been to do with his jacket being on a shoogly peg at the Bridge.

I don't think its okay myself - my stock response to anyone who calls me a Jock, is that my name isn't John - but i think its easy to argue that it jock can be friendly banter. In the context of this case it's clear that it's a perjorative term with racist overtones. The fact that there is no English equivalent of Taffy, Paddy or Jock tells you all you need to know I guess. All about context.

Mccall Takes Rangers Job

I suspect he just wants to get out of the place. -
I guess only he can answer that but I would say that given his formative years were in Glasgow, I wouldn't say that not being a born and bred Scot would be as relevant as his general attitude. Sadly, it looks like his being omitted from squads is nothing more sinister than him not being good enough and not developing as was originally hoped. Probably an element of him getting the arse because he thought he was better than he was at first and the management thinking you then.

He also appears to be marking Cahill at the second goal. -

Absolutely - for all that people complain about how shite it is, there does seem to be a lot of people very keen to watch it, especially on expensive premium TV. -
Champions League Round Of 16

Loving all the hate on here today. I was at the game last night so thankfully didn't have to put up with Sky, Souness and Carragher that's an unbiased panel and Souness in particular is hardly one to talk. Anyway, no complaints whatsoever about the result, beaten by the better team on the night. I think PSG actually played better after they went a man down. Cavani put in an awesome shift, any time I've seen him before I thought he was two bob, I was really impressed with him. Thought the referee had a complete stinker for both sides, shouldn't have been a sending off for Ibrahimovic but he missed Luiz's elbow on Costa and also Costa's push late in the game and him being pushed over by Cavani in the first half for a penalty. So the bad decisions maybe evened themselves out but it's still not good enough and God only knows what those guys at the side of the goal do. Personally I thought PSG were too easy to go down and were looking to get people into trouble but I'm biased so would think that. At least I'll admit my bias. One final thing regarding the sending off, a lot of talk of Chelsea players trying to get Ibrahimovic sent off but - and I had a good view of this at the time - the red card came out straight away, before anyone approached him so it's wrong to say that they influenced the decision, the referee got it wrong on his own. -

That'll be the calls for his inclusion in the next squad starting up then. -
Scottish Cup Quarters

It's more to do with whether reviewing the replays the referee believes he would had made a different decision had he that view at the time. In this case Thomson obviously doesn't see anything different in the tackle by Brown - and he had a pretty good view of that. Looked like a booking to me though. -

There were a few cases of personation during the referendum so its not just limited to postal votes. Its not MI5 or the security services who are up to no good with this, it's local constituency parties. -

They didn't have open access to the postal votes and in fact there would have been Yes representatives there at the same time to ensure that there was nothing untoward going on when the postal ballots were being verified. -
