  1. You should ask a mutual friend what their impression of her is. Clue, it's not high.
  2. I've been to Singapore a few times, both as a stopover and also with work. Really like the place. The last time I was there was about 4 years ago on holiday and was shocked at how extortionately expensive it is, although that might have had something to do with the previous few times I'd been there I'd been on expenses. God knows what it's like now with the value of the pound. A great melting pot of a place, really easy to get around most places. A fantastic range of foods, as has been mentioned earlier, the hawker centres are really good value. There's a cracking one next to Novena metro station. The Changi prison museum is very interesting although it's a bit tricky to get to.
  3. Various Labour MPs who voted for the war are now standing up in the HoC saying "we should all be prepared to accept our own share of responsibility" and then going on to give loads of excuses why they don't have to.
  4. Putting the groundwork in for Libya and Syria.
  5. I was going to ask the same question. Only ever went to Scarborough once as a kid and that galleon is the only thing I can remember about the place.
  6. There's a separate - and important - question about why 1/3 of the population didn't vote but anyone who tries to include the number of non-voters in an attempt to either make their side seem larger or the opposition smaller is a total zoomed and should just be ignored.
  7. Archie Knox was also assistant manager under Brown for a while.
  8. Don't get me wrong, I'm not defending Strachan for a minute but right now our centre half options are the worst I can ever remember them. What is even more concerning is that there don't seem to be anyone who looks remotely capable coming through. I also don't believe that playing three centre backs is necessarily the best thing to do if you are weak in that position. It's not just a case of three shite players = two no bad ones. You're giving up a player somewhere else to compensate for the extra defender and you also need wing backs, not full backs or at least players who can do both. We've got left backs coming out of our ears but no right backs. Personally, I think another option is to have stronger more disciplined holding midfielder(s) to protect the centre backs and that's where I do think Strachan has options but has chosen badly.
  9. none of them are particularly great but they are all probably better Centre Halvesthan any of our current options.
  10. You went past being amusing a long time ago.
  11. That was one of the most high profile pictures in the immediate aftermath. Amazed they are just getting round to him now.
  12. Bale has been pretty quiet as well.
  13. Belgium have been completely two-bob so far.
  14. Apart from the Rangers games which they really hadn't missed at all.
  15. Although at first glance it looks like a step back you can really understand why Ritchie has taken the move. No doubt he'll be getting paid a shit load more money. He joined Bournemouth when they were in League One and while no doubt he's had some increases and bonuses I doubt he was on "Premiership wages". It's also the first "big" club he's played for in his career so again the move is understandable.
  16. Something I'm sure all foot soldiers would agree with.
  17. Apparently the guy that went on the rant was from Momentum and is a Corbyn supporter, so I doubt it was set up - at least not in the way you're suggesting. Its safe to say that the anti-Corbyn brigade have exploited it thoroughly though. Agree entirely with your points on Chilcott.
  18. So you're saying that this is all some sort of exotic triple cross? Then again, maybe that's what the Gover wants him to think.
  19. I've told you the remarks and the context, you don't agree. Fair enough, that's your opinion.
  20. You completely miss the point. It doesn't matter whether or not what was said was anti-Semitic or not. It is the fact that an anti-semitism row can be allowed to blow up at an event designed to show that the Labour Party isn't anti-Semitic that demonstrates how big a joke they are right now, surely you see that?
  21. One of the report's conclusions is that anti-Semitic tropes should not be used and the momentum activist effectively accused the MP of being part of a media conspiracy, which of course is itself an anti-Semitic trope. I've no idea if the momentum activist meant it as an anti Semitic remark or whether the MP is showing faux indignation to bring further embarrassment on Corbyn and frankly both are irrelevant. However, Corbyn should have recognised it and should have called it out at the time. The fact he didn't reflects badly on his personal leadership qualities. Furthermore, the fact that this can even be allowed to blow up at an anti-semitism event shows you how much of a joke the Labour Party is at present. Even if Ruth Smeeth was the devil incarnate, what sort of idiot do you have to be to turn up at an event designed to show that the Labour Party are not anti-Semitic and then start slagging off a Jewish MP? And these people think they can run the country.
