  1. so apologies if this is a stupid question. But the allegation is that D&P in collusion with White & Green fraudulently transferred assets of the RFC. Presumably the people who were defrauded were the creditors ? Does that not mean that the creditors may still have a valid & strong claim on the assets if fraud is proven to have taken place ?
  2. love this too.... not a fan of horror or zombies but got sucked into the whole survival mentality and the brilliant characters. Managed to 'acquire' the first two FTWD and thought they were slow but excellent - managed to get that fear going that something really bad is about to happen
  3. 'sports entertainment' is what they have in some places... no fitba'
  4. just got it on bittorrent last night - it was low key but I thought it was pretty promising and I was disappointed when it finished...
  5. utterly predictable result - 50/50 we'll get beat tomorrow... I sat in the East stand wondering why Higginbotham kept wandering over and playing at left back for much of the second half.... Smith should have told him to gtf. Someone in midfield should have hauled him back to fill the massive hole he left - but you would have thought the manager might have noticed the collapse in formation and players drifting all over the shop ?? nah - he hasn't a clue. Locke is appalling and the board gave him 3 FECKIN YEARS on the back of a few draws !!!!!! idiots.
  6. still very fond memories of Gordons final performance... I can still close my eyes and see the tackle at left back that started the move, bombing up the wing and then that cool pass to Johnson..... sends shivers up my spine
  7. trust me I understand it - my wife's grandfather (who both my children were lucky enough to know) was in Burma and lost half an ear to a Japanese grenade. His personal belongings are in the regiment museum.... there is a chance if that war had gone on he may never have returned home. I don't criticise those who survived it...... however we know different now, we have perspective, we know war is mostly prosecuted for profit and that 'foreigners' are just like us they are not 'swarms' or 'hordes' - that we allow our politicians to participate in war and bombing defenceless civilians and the we have a 'defence' policy that relies on terrorism and our complicit suicide leaves me speechless....
  8. I struggle too with the 'saved many lives' argument... although the US weren't first, the basic understanding of war is that one set of soldiers fights another... this bombing changed the rules - if you don't surrender we will murder all your citizens.... it is terrorism. The only difference between nuclear weapons logic and the IRA is the size of the bomb. We have become a terrorist state - our conventional weapons are so weak we will fall back on threatening to commit mass suicide and mass murder of civilians very quickly. It is insanity beyond belief..
  9. interesting as hell though... I quite like him, he's like your lefty mate who hasn't evolved a single viewpoint since the 80s.... I doubt his ability as a leader though - he can't take his party with him and he can't take enough english voters with him to win an election. So now the DR is effectively telling all its readers that the yes/snp anti-austerity rhetoric is cool - where will they turn when Corbyn is ousted and they get a 'suit' back in control ?
  10. that royal rag belongs in the past..... saltire every time.
  11. 6 yrs in Munich a couple in Boston.... happy days, made me a more worldly person and makes me appreciate Scotland a whole lot more. Life is short.....
  12. I have missed the last few weeks due to work and holidays... just watched Corbyn on Marr and was amazed by how much he seemed to be spouting the common weal of 2012... nothing original but what bothered me was his chit-chat about Marx - what really ? a bit Rik Mayell 1983... not a serious player, was hoping for Syriza, turned out to be SSP
  13. very badly misreported by the press.... Scottish accent is not 'dying' or being 'diluted' - it is evolving in a noticeable way. There was a very nice researcher on the radio who explained it extremely well
  14. I dont have Apple streaming but I did pay for iTunes Match which is a complete train wreck and they are effectively stealing my money. Problem is when you're in it, you're in it. I spent hours over the years copying my CDs and this piece of cr@p has wrecked it...... thank you for letting me share.................
  15. nope nuthin... maybe the system will recognise the previous purchase when we log in ?
  16. managed to get 4 for Germany and 2 for Poland (all for members) at 10 to 3 !!!!
  17. yip due to work I messed up and missed deadline.. called them today and they were not hopeful of a public sale. 32k sold already and the rest available to season tick holders
  18. poor comment from a middle aged overweight guy - but does wee Heather have a belly ?
  19. cracking game - should've been the final...
  20. ever wondered why so many players have 'failed' at Rangers in recent years...... maybe they're all duds.. pretty sure Boyd will 'fail'' for us again to at least the tune of 20 goals plus..
  21. genuinely haven't seen the sun here in Edinburgh for days...... wtf
  22. without dredging the depths of Twitter or the DM website I think the way to judge this is to look not at what ordinary keyboard jockeys do, but what to those in a position of leadership or responsibility say, this sets the tone I think for those that follow.. Darlings - 'Blood & Soil' nationalism Currans - 'wouldn't care if someone ran Salmond over with a bus' Lamont - nationalists are a 'virus' not to mention Ian Smarts daily nut-job rants that believing Scotland should make its own decisions makes you a Nazi, then the whole slew of other prominent people from Starkey to Stephenson calling us Nazis - a Professor at Edinburgh University calling a 19 year old student from Glasgow a 'slut'.. should we go over the list of Scot Labour MPs who have been abusive and threatening ? at least 2 Davidson and Murphy launching threatening verbal assaults on SNP MPs... The problem is they are dehumanising SNP supporters. I was threatened whilst leafelting a leafy middle class suburb in Edinburgh by an old angry man (who thought better of it) - why was he angry, why did he threaten me ? Because of the language and behaviour of these people and newspapers. It saddens me that their case is so weak they can present no arguments just fear and intimidation... this could get much more unpleasant and I think thats what they want. I would love to see a similar example of this kind of behaviour on the SNP side ?
  23. Wow so its ok to leave and join a terrorist organisation if your departure point is Northern Ireland ????
  24. it is depressing, they are clearly fascists trying to build popularity by posting anti-immigrant, racist, anti-peado, anti-benfits, pro-military rhetoric. A bit like the Daily Mail Twitter account...... however the number of elderly relatives I have who like or re-post their stuff is depressing....
