  1. He has so much potential. A loan move for first team football is a must for next season.
  2. Must be injured then? Whats the 19’s squad PASTA?
  3. Swap Armstrong for Cairney and that looks about right
  4. Nobody was touting him at all. Same way as nobody is touting Ruben Sammut or Lewis Fiorini just because their at top English clubs. it does bode well if they are signed to these clubs in terms of their potential but I don’t think anyone thinks they should be in the mix till they’ve tasted first team football on loan atleast at a decent level.
  5. Must be leaving him for the 19s with the likes of Mikey Johnstone of Celtic & Glenn Middleton not in there for the same reason also.
  6. Ritchie scored a cracker v Southampton today
  7. Squirrelhumper thinks Stephen O’Donnell should be captain
  8. I can’t believe so much air time is being given to Stephen O’Donnell 😂
  9. Clearly from the choices available Callum Paterson should be the right back. Im sure in his few months playing right wing he hasn’t forgotten how to play right back....! Ryan Jack played excellently against Holland in difficult circumstances but is injured & Tony Ralston (who looks to have potential) has been/is also injured so looking at another right back for the squad would be a good idea. Kilmarnock have been on a great run & would be nice to reward that by including one of their players in the squad. I don’t think playing in league 2 last season should count against O’Donnell, however, I’d be keen to see as many younger players as possible in these few squads where we can really freshen things up and blood in guys in their teens/early 20’s
  10. Agreed. Hopefully Monday’s announcement can be met with optimism with youth given its chance. Id sooner see Harry Cochrane’s name than Barry Bannan’s for example.
  11. Exactly. Karamoko Dembele is the captain for both teams at the moment 😂
  12. He’s a cert to be in the squad; Griffiths (if fit), McBurnie, Cummings & (not everyone’s cup of tea but Gallagher) as likely strikers.
  13. That’s maybe the most anorak type statement I’ve ever seen on here! 😂
  14. Great news about McTominay. The best part of it all is that it will be for all the right reasons & he’s knocked back a country who would have enhanced his career greater than ours for the fundamental reason (it would seem) that he feels more Scottish than English. Takes the edge off Brown retiring also. Excited by the squad announcement tomorrow & will hopefully see more names such as Souttar, McKenna & Bates and less of the likes of Whittaker, Anya & Bannan.
  15. It’s from someone who works at one of the newspapers & apparently that will be going in them this week prior to the squad being named. Fingers crossed it’s legit!
  16. On Sky Sports it said this coming week. Also heard through grapevine McTominay will choose Scotland after meeting McLeish...
  17. Barry’s Douglas not even being in the squad also - starring for Wolves and will be an EPL starter next season. Great left back depth.

For me our best goalie right now is Jon McLaughlin who is 30. Between him and Jordan Archer we should be fine for the next while & have Robbie McCrorie coming through who looks like he has a lot of potential. Lets focus on the future with the squads coming up please Eck.
  19. Doesn’t have to be a European team though? Could be anyone!
  20. Definitely not too early for McCrorie (Ross). We need to get away from this attitude that players need to play 250 games and be 26 years old before we cap them. Hes one of a number of young defenders who should be in the squad going to South America in the summer alongside Souttar, Lindsay, McKenna, Bates & Hendry
  21. Yep! Wales or Ireland (teams better than us) would pick boys this age rather than deadwood. I can’t foresee us ever picking a player younger than about 19 and “get the kids in” usually refers to picking an uncapped 26 year old.
  22. Why would you you keep playing Mulgrew when there’s about 6 centre backs in the SPL/Championship playing regularly at a higher level who are all about 10 years younger!?
  23. Agree about Smith and McLeish. just appoint a younger manager. To be honest the least annoying appointment for me would be Gemmill.
  24. Yeah Scottish clubs reach European finals all the time don’t they...
  25. Accommodating Paterson right mid is a terrible shout when we have Ryan Fraser available
