  1. Even as a Rangers supporter, maybe especially as a Rangers supporter, I'd endorse that sentiment.
  2. Precisely, one egg gets thrown and its headline news, near riot breaks out in the middle of Glasgow, saltires getting burned and not a peep. Doesn't suit the agenda of Scots nationalism bad, British nationalism good.
  3. Friday felt ashamed, felt couldn't sing it given what had just happened. Come the Georgia game I'm going to be singing it, if others want to feel embarressed by the words so be it.
  4. Thats why we need something that is based in Scotland. We need analysis on why people voted No but undoubtedly tv and newspaper views helped massively. Were Yes voters more in touch with new media whereas No voters simply more reliant on old media? I don't know but a less one-sided media would have helped. There would certainly appear to be a market for a popular paper that appeals to a broad church and challenges the No line. I don't know whether that could be in place for the next referedum but what what we do need is to hold Cameron, Clegg etc accountable for their vow and that process of holding them to account can't just be done or shared by preaching to the converted, we somehow need to get that message out ot the 55.
  5. Okay I feel like the kid in class who was daydreaming at the important bit and wasn't really paying full attention. What are the key differences between the original proposals for Devo max and what was offered via the front page of the Record?
  6. How widely has this been condemned in the media, certainly haven't seen much reporting of it in England. Would be nice to hear some Unionist politicians condemning this in public.
  7. Don't know what to think on this one. Given the mess at the minute it looks like it wasn't thought through at all, on the other hand there was the video clip of an Alan Bissett speech where he pretty much predicted that an option that would be spun as Devo max would be back on the agenda..
  8. More snouts round the trough seems to be pretty much the verdict of north east voters when Prescott suggested the idea of a regional assembly.
  9. Can't you just see the Daily Mail headlines, Evil cybernats wish early death to old folk!
  10. Good stuff Perth and would be great to see some photos. 45%, in the face of media bombardment and outright lies and scaremongering, voted for change. WM parties want nothing better than for us to walk away, ain't going to happen.
  11. Absolutely. Friday was one of the worst days of my life minus bereavements. I've been committed to Scottish independence since I was a student (and thats a considerbale while back). I've seem a movement of hope for a better nation get battered and lied to, get swamped by an Establishment machine funded by the WM elite and their cronies and I feel joining the SNP is the very east I can do to stand with all of those who voted for change. If you believe in it just join.
  12. Good stuff Fringo. If we had won by a vote, I would have been ecstatic but we still would have had a divided and hurting nation. We need to build bridges not ditches and also get some of our friends and family and workmates to leave their fears behind and walk across and join us.
  13. It woukd be very interesting if there were an age profile of those parties membership, I guess the Tories would be the oldest by a way
  14. Even better ask your No voting friends why there are foodbanks in the first place and whether such should be normalised in a wealthy country.
  15. Great to see people are actually doing something rather than just feeling disappointed or angry or whatever. The Westminster elite would like nothing more than for us to shrug our shoulders and walk away.
  16. Maybe we should sing FoS and add a chant at the end, "It's no over", "We shall rise" something like that?
  17. Make it 4000 and 1. Not likely to vote as I don't think they'll have too many candidates in deepest, darkest Hertfordshire but it's the least I can do for the meantime.
  18. Fixture should never have been arranged in the first place, at best it was a distraction from the Ireland game, now it's potentially something worse. Can't see many England fans making the trip north but it has serious potential for disorder.
  19. Absolutely right they would. That's why after the depression and hurt of yesterday we must keep a cool head, recognise that 45% want change and build upon it. The issue only goes away if we allow it to go away.
  20. I actually don't think they represent the majority of our support, at least I hope they don't. Certainly don't represent me but that brand of right wing triumphalist unionist politics utterly shames us both as a club and a country
  21. Don't jack it in. I think it was Emerson who said that many of life's failures are because people didn't realize how close they were to success when they gave up. the Yes cause has come a long way in the last few years, just needs another 6%, it won't be tomorrow but it is by no means unachievable particualrly when they start breaking their promises.
  22. Mock outrage? Come on Eddard, both you and I know that there are horrible, vile, violent sections of our support. They utterly shame us as a football club, no wonder so many people couldn't give a damn if we went out of business.
