  1. Why not? Once in a 307 year opportunity squandered by press bombardment and dubious promises or the beginning of something new?
  2. What the hell am I supposed to eat or drink? Any suggestions?
  3. It's a horrible day, but compared to a year or two years ago the move for independence has grown considerably. The Westminster elite promise more powers for Scotland but if they deny them or only grant powers that prevent Scotland flourishing then those who voted No must raise their voice and hold them to account.
  4. Thanks for your post, it's been a hard day.
  5. I really sincerely hope it will be none but I also think that any new powers that the Establishment give out will only be those to raise taxes whilst at the same time cutting real funding. As I say I hope I'm wrong but don't tell me that it is not a possibility.
  6. Scenario: Next election, England swings to the right (Clacton by election in a few weeks time will be interesting), SNP win with increased majority in Scotland due to fact that lots of Labour supporters feel betrayed by own party. When did he get to decide?
  7. Maybe they should. Maybe they should disband for the next elections at Westminster and for Holyrood, not put up any MPs or MSPs and let whichever party is in power take full responsibility when the s*it* hits the fan and we see the consequences of last night.
  8. I think you speak for many on that one
  9. How anyone trusts Brown, Clegg, Milliband, Cameron over Eck is completely and utterly beyond me.
  10. Anything which is seen as impoverishing English voters at Scotland's expense will be rejected, understandably, by English MPs
  11. Right that's me done for the night. Internet away, boring boring performance management s*i@e to do instead. I'm going into news purdah. Its like I can't watch Scotland playing football anymore on television or listen to the radio not because I don't care but because I do. I'll try to sleep (last night wasn't good), and tomorrow I hope and pray I will wake to a Yes vote and a new dawn for Scotland and I will weep with tears of joy, I have longed for this day for 30 years (and some of you have yearned for longer) Independence is coming, may it be tomorrow! Thank you to everyone who has voted yes and not been afraid to challenge the scaremonering of the Westminster elite. Best of luck to those of you who are up all night! Used to catch the train up from London and got into Scotland and there was a bridge upon which someone had painted "saor alba", may that hope be reality tomorrow.
  12. Record not quite as negative as I thought it might have been. Maybe they know the tide has turned!
  13. Liverpool Echo reporting that prospective Labour MP held after dispute in which woman was kicked http://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/former-merseyside-council-leader-marie-7795001 Erm, calm down! calm down!
  14. Remind me when was the last time an Englishman won Wimbledon? Some Daily Mail readers really are cretins of the first order.
  15. I'm assuming thats a reference to you going to the polls
  16. And they had the cheek to call the SNP the seriously nasty party! (Only a day after a pretty vicious and unnecessary character attack)
  17. I also think this has held back our club. Which right thinking human being would want to invest money in a club associated with some of these knuckle draggers.
  18. Old Runrig lyrics: Tha spiorad nan daoine nas soilleir na ghealach Nas doimhne na'n cuan Geigh sinn ar n-aite 'san t-shaoghal 'S an ginealach ur Ard: blar nan daoine Ard: guth is saorsa Ard: tha sinn gluasad Gu h-ard theid sinn suas Chan urrain dhomh fuireach an taigh 'tha fo sgoth Ach le creideamh is dochas gu deireadh mo la Tha an lasair nad anam aig meadhan do bhith Nas laidir's nas motha na riaghaltas no righ The spirit of the people is brighter than the moon Deeper than the ocean We will find our place in the world In a new generation High: The peoples struggle High: A Voice and self-determination High: We are moving We will reach up there I can not live in the house of despondency But in faith and in hope till the end of my days The spark in your soul is the centre of your whole existence And it is bigger and stronger than any government Just do it Scotland. Win it today, celebrate tomorrow and reconcile the fearful and the bruised and then work together to build a better Scotland. Hope over fear!
