  1. Corbyn won't get votes from the right wing English electorate. And he won't beat the popularity of Sturgeon and the SNP in Scotland.
  2. The very first line of the Vow printed on the front page of the Record is now broken. Westminster can dissolve the Scottish parliament any time it wants to...
  3. The only people injured by Salmonds comments are Labour both north and south of the border. Salmond as usual has played a blinder. His comments have whipped up a frenzy in the English press and they along with the Tories are scaremongering the English about the bad SNP. In Scotland people are taking offence that somehow our votes don't count and how dare we interfere in Westminster. Add to that comments from English MP's like Anna Soubry and people will be flocking to vote for the SNP Win win, play on Mr Salmond!
  4. What wee Dougie actually means is Labour can't control social media like they control the print media and BBC Scotland
  5. Surely with Milliband ruling out a formal coalition the next question is "What if Labour + SNP had a majority of MP's after the election, would Labour rule out a pact?" I think Milliband has fallen into a Tory trap officially ruling it out. The question for Labour is not going to go away just because he's ruled out a formal coalition.
  6. It's time this sort of stuff is stamped out for good. Everyone seems powerless to be able to do anything about people singing these songs. You seen the recent sevco game against Raith - which was highlighted by Stan Collymore - and nothing was done. The Rangers keep getting TV deals and sponsoring whilst their fans sing this bile. If someone has been jailed for singing these kind of songs then I applaud that and I hope they keep getting jailed until this is stopped for good!
  7. Although I voted Yes and was convinced we would win right up to polling day, subconsciously I believed there would be an Indyref2. It's a case of when not if and it's all about getting the timing right. Ironically, a good showing in May's election could delay an Indyref2. If the SNP are kingmakers at Westminster they should demand the moon for putting Milliband into power at No.10. Real powers and funds for Holyrood would almost certainly rule out a referendum in the 2016 Holyrood parly term. Although the upside of that would be the incredible amount of seethe in England fuelled by the right wing English press. A Tory win in May with lots more austerity to come and an EU referendum should be the trigger to have Indyref2 in 2018/19. Whatever happens in May the Labour party must be routed and hopefully wiped out. Then the SNP wouldn't just be a political party it would be a movement for independence. Independence is inevitable now, it's just getting the timing right to pull the trigger and put the Union out of it's misery
  8. Murphy logic - Unionists join the SNP and campaign for the Union within the party Bonkers
  9. Craig Murray isn't suited for party politics, that's now very apparent. If he wants into politics he should stand as an independent candidate The vetting done it's job simple as that! You can't have mavericks all over the place as discipline will evaporate and leave any leader vulnerable. That's why most mavericks are no longer tolerated in ANY party. Those who don't toe the party line are a gift to the opposition. In the Westminster election every MP will count for the SNP and could be the difference in what powers we could receive. Any MP leaving the party once elected diminishes the bargaining power of the SNP. It's crucial the party is united down there!
  10. If Brown took the job he would be under real scrutiny and not get away with the media fawning and protection. During the referendum he got soundbite headlines without the scrutiny of live interviews. He crumbles under scrutiny that's why he failed so miserably as PM and why he steers clear of them today.
  11. I hear SNP/Nicola Sturgeon roadshows at Glasgow, Edinburgh, Aberdeen and Inverness now sold out! 12,000 seater at the Hydro sold out within a day - that's quite incredible I have to say!
  12. Couldn't bring myself to sing it. To me it's turned into a football song rather than a national anthem
  13. You've seriously got to be joking about Morrison! Toss up between him and Broon for MotM.
  14. She is to "smart businesswoman" as Julian Clary is to heavy engineering
  15. Sturgeon can't/won't move on the referendum till we know what new powers are being offered. Brown has already stated we will get " home rule" or near federalism anything other than that then he's been lying to the voters. There is an incredible requirement for change even with no voters. If we don't get that change the people will be very angry to the point of a serious backlash against Westminster and Labour in Scotland. That's when the calls for another referendum will be too powerful to ignore
  16. Not much separates the two of them but for me Brown just edges it. Sorry Humza has ruled himself out but I agree this has come just too early in his career.
  17. If anyone believes Labour are going to deliver on their promises of more powers all they have to do is look at the interview with Milliband on STV news. We've been lied to again and some of us have fell for it again!
  18. Sturgeon refusing to rule out another referendum in the 2016 parliament "If there is a commitment to a referendum and the SNP win that election then that is a mandate for a referendum"
  19. I can understand NATO being a big deal to many in the SNP, but I can't understand their timing. Scotland isn't joining NATO any time in the next 18 months. That's now 3 MSP's who have resigned from the party when they could quite easily just not stood again when this parly term had ended
  20. Has to be the most pointless resignations in the history of resignations. Scotland won't be joining NATO in the next 18 months. Why not just finish the term and then resign? Or wait till we actually get independence?
