  1. Cheers guys. Seems fairly straight forward now :-)
  2. But there are group a playoffs in march?
  3. The example in the link makes it more understandable however I still confused by a couple if things. Group A playoff. That's played in June 2019 before the qualifiers finish. Therefore we won't know who's qualified so is the example they give for that one wrong and it's just the 4 winners, which is clearly what Uefa wants as it provides a competitive play off with the very best. And does the winner of that get a place. It would be very unusual for 1 of these 4 teams not to qualify therefore perhaps that could be where a place for the host comes from if used in future tournaments.
  4. Register and get your barcode. You need that to get your time. You'll be handed a second barcode when you finish. Take them to a scanner get them both scanned and you'll get your time later in the day. There's a briefing pre race so all explained. All very simple and well organised.
  5. NI might not be the most appealing but it's exactly what many on here constantly suggest and slate the sfa for not doing. ie playing a team similar to who we have in qualifying. Obviously people assume as countries neighbour each other they play a similar style etc. In Warsaw I heard it was going to be a home game in March. Greece and Bosnia would both be good games.
  6. Wouldn't mind a game every 4 years with venues alternating. I don't think a trip to wembley every 8 years would be boring.
  7. I really hope we can keep Strachan, and like others don't see him being tempted away. But if he was, perhaps Committee would be available. Has a fairly solid record at this level!
  8. Good point re the standard of opposition. The weakest team has been Estonia, which was his first game. In my opinion the only result you could say was a poor one would be the Wales game and up until the penalty/sending off we looked to have the game won. Unlucky not to have got better results in the England, Nigeria, Germany and Poland games. And to top it off. As well as a solid record, we are playing the best football we've played in a long time. Most positive, attacking football I've seen in Scotland in years.
  9. I fully appreciate some people have no option. A fair chunk also stay in the pub till the last minute though.
  10. I heard there were long delays getting into the North stand. Although we didn't get to the ground till 730 and had no issues. Amazes me how late people leave it to arrive.
  11. Agree we missed Fletcher. He takes the ball in brilliantly and makes it look effortless. Every time the ball came to him he either laid it off for someone with his first touch or turned in the same movement as receiving the ball and created space for something. Looked like he missed a sitter with that back heel he tried but that could of been the angle of my view. Was it a great chance? Thought Martin was poor. Missed a great chance, which when you see it on the tv he had almost the whole goals to fire into and put it by the post which the goalie had totally covered. Not great movement, fell over constantly and was awful at cheating/trying to win free kicks. I'd rather we'd stuck May or Russell on. Naismith and Fletcher seemed to have a much better understanding than Naismith and Martin. Everyone else in my opinion had a good game. For me special praise for Marshall and Robertson. Marshall had a fantastic save down low to McGeady and took every cross superbly under pressure when they were firing in some very dangerous in swingers.
  12. Anthem was a let down. The fans were miles ahead of the band. It shouldn't have been hard to keep in time with them given how loud the mic was, which ruined their sound.
  13. So refreshing to win a home game v one of your main challengers. Seems so long since we've done that at a time that counts.
  14. He had a great game last night. Good energy going forward putting in several great crosses and showing good pace to get back and cover for Hanley a couple of times as well. I thought he linked up better with Anya than v Georgia. Hopefully creating a good understanding. Lots of pace and energy down that flank with two players that can interchange positions.

    Remembrance

I seem to remember there was something like that but in the end they did have poppies. It was on an armband that fell off almost instantly though.
  16. I'd like to see Bardsley and Robertson, but I suspect it'll be Bardsley and Whittaker. Glad to see Bardsley back in squad.
  17. Yeah had something similar a few years back. Bit of a nightmare. Was in quite a lot of discomfort for a while and probably took about 6/8 weeks to heal.
  18. Braw morning for the Edinburgh Parkrun today. Not my best time, but delighted I dragged myself up and out to do it. Anybody else out this morning?
  19. Hardly forgettable when your opening line on a trip to lake como was, I don't really like lake como. LolTbf, can really complain at the organisation of the bus etc. Had a good day and welcome time away from the disappointment of Milan.
  20. What's happened to the nations league idea? If done right that could be quite good.
  21. The format of the comp killed it. Multiple trips to the same place was a daft idea. NI V Wales in Dublin was never going to attract a big crowd. It should have either been played in a similar fashion to the old home nations champs or if it ha to be in one place do it in one trip with a semi and final.
  22. Hopes pinned on the other charter. Need to be back ASAP :-(
  23. Went last year. Really good night. Done the street party in Edinburgh a lot through work. Gets worse every year imo.
