I think he actually enjoyed telling the story where McCoist tried to threaten him over the phone about comments he made. One of his favourite comments about McCoists Rangers - "They look like a team that has never been coached"

I think I'm suffering from a football hangover after the world cup. Really struggling to get interested in 'normal' football after that mad period in June where I watched at least 3 games everyday for about 2 weeks.

caught some of the John Hughes interview on radio scotland there, him and chic spent more time discussing rangers and how they were the better team and should be back 'flying the flag' for scottish football in the SPL. FFS just gie rangers the tie and 'coisty' a BJ while you're there...

I've taken thurs-fri off work, as have a few mates. Planning to head round to one of theirs thursday night. Like ek_celt the provisional plan would be to stay up to 3-4am to see the first few regions declare, head off the bed and then get back up at 8am to see the final result. However if/when the first few declare YES and a few drinks have been consumed calling it a night might not be so easy.

just relaying what I read - i'll see if I can dig out the source again...

a found a document about a month back that estimated the final result would be declared around 9am. This was based on the timings from the last few elections when the ballot boxes from some outlying islands werent counted until 7-8am. Same document also suggested there would be no 'drip feed' of results from different areas. Nothing would be announced until the last vote was counted.
