  1. This quote from the scotsman “I have been down to Manchester to see him play, I’ve spoken to United coach Ricky Sbragia and the player has asked for more time,” said Gemmill. I would imagine him running from scotland now.
  2. add "if he's knocked us back then he's had his chance" to that list
  3. My point was if we were going to call him up, the u21s might be better. We need some good centre mid players there and we are playing to qualify for something. This holland game is quite meaningless
  4. I would like to see Gordon Pateron Berra Cooper Tierney Forrest Brown Armstrong McGinn Robertson Griffiths
  5. Scott McTominay??? u21 if anything. Not the full team. Plus i dont think he wants to play for us
  6. I cant believe Hanlon is in and Liam Lindsay is not
  7. Griffiths is no. 1 for sure. If burke gets going at WBA, i think he would be the second choice through the middle, seems to do well for the u21s there. Others - apart from maybe C. Martin and Jason Cummings there is not a lot of options. Time to forget about the strachan era guys - fletcher, naismith, rhodes
  8. Can someone tell me why Oli Burke is never even on the bench at west brom? 15m for him at least at RBL he was getting 20 mins of action
  9. Thanks After reading a number of websites, this is the best explanation i have seen
  10. We have a year to give experience to some players, we really need to take advantage of this. Gordon Paterson Berra Lindsay Tierney Brown Mcginn forrest Armstrong Robertson Griffiths In the squad/give them a chance Mcgregor, souttar, cummings, burke, cairney gauld, there will be some others to keep in - D.fletcher, C.Martin, snodgrass but we need to bleed some player new players NOW! Never to be seen again - Phillips, Hanley, S.fletcher, R.Martin, B.Bannan. Mcarthur
  11. with a team berti made - mcfadden, fletcher, webster, hartley, caldwell. gordon. Without the process of giving all these guys a chance and getting rid of the deadwood we would have never had that euro 2008 and team
  12. Ok maybe not yogi but you get the idea of what i mean.
  13. I dont think too many will retire, so i dont expect too many changes if strachan stay. The manager needs to retire them!! ie dont pick them Needs to go - anya, bannan, phillips, R.martin, Hanley, whittaker, S.fletcher, J. Mcarthur Coming in - Lindsay, Mcgregor, Mcginn, Shinnie, Christie, J. Souttar, C.Paterson. Cairney I would like to get a starting line up something like this to see how it goes in a friendly 4-2-3-1 Gordon Paterson Lindsay Berra Tierney Brown Mcgregor/Cariney Forrest/fraser Armstrong Robertson Griffiths
  14. Last manager to get us close to a tournament was foreign, say what you want about Berti but he bled some decent young players so set up smith and mcleish (yes i remember the faeros too). I would have a lars lagerback with a scottish assistant (someone like john hughes). We have time to get some young guys in with some friendlies and this euro nations thing. We need fresh eyes and a new look.
  15. Dont we have game next year around this time in the nations league thing, we can qualify through that.
  16. Grant Hanley cost us!! at fault for lithuania goal and at least 3 against slovakia and england
  17. From what i remember playing them, we had about 10 chances to score, hit the post, hit the bar, the keeper made some decent saves. I would like think a driving runner like macgregor or mcginn, maybe snodgrass for phillips. Griffiths movement gave their defence a tough time with movement. The keeper will be a big test to get through. They will also be tired after the england game.
  18. Start Martin up front with griffiths on the left, pump the ball up to him and hope he wins free kicks for griffiths
  19. Fletcher was outstanding last night. He was such a leader, giving the fact we thought brown being out was the end of the earth. Even bleed for the team and made them stay out after full time to hear the fans. Fletch is one of the first names, i would drop phillips, bannon before him Gordon KT Berra Mulgrew Robertson Fletcher Morrison Forrest Mcgregor Griffiths Martin
  20. marek hamsik = difference
  21. BBC Says Griffiths with Calf issues? http://www.bbc.com/sport/football/41423559 Hopefully typical BBC Scaremongering
  22. I would not mind this at all I can see Forrest Fletcher McArthur Bannan Phillips
  23. Barry Bannan "Star Player" for SW today
  24. This would be my starting line up (all going to my plan) Gordon Tierney, berra, mulgrew, Robertson Fletcher Morrison Fraser MacGregor Ritchie Griffiths What i can see Gordon Tierney Berra Mulgrew Robertson Mcarthur Fletcher Forrest Snodgrass Phillips Griffiths
  25. I think Fletcher will be ok to step in for Brown, while he is not Scott Brown we need his experience and I think he is playing decent at the Moment. As for Armstrong, has to be MacGregor, he will have his celtic mates around him (forrest, griffiths, Gordon, Tierney) and I think he can step up. Otherwise who is there? Cairney would be a shout if he was not injured or even Burke if he was playing. Also wonder what would have happened if Gould has not got injured? Lets just get behind the lads, we have all been here before. It is still in our hands, i just hope they keep Brown in the camp for influence.
