i always though Leigh Griffiths was an amazing finisher given the chance ; unfortunately he seemed to slide into the "bawheid" list we've had over the years , likes of Riordan, Duncan F, Gary O Connor etc Eoin Jess was another for me that was a huge let down - seemed more intelligent than aforementioned but never really turned it on at national level tbh we've had so many over the years could easily fill a team of overrated players ; the 80s especially nevin,sharp,speedie,albiston and most of the liverpool boys - Kenny aside

yeah just read that - Edmonton missing out (seemingly the City & Feds put money in , but Provincial Govt late to the game ; not sure how much bearing this would of had though )- 56,000 capacity it says know a few boys from here/ Calgary went up for world cup qualifiers (midweek evening kick off in winter....) 3hr ish drive from here not sure what interest there would have been for 'neutral' games here tho.......

i've thought for a while now (probably sounds total nonsense though - and am not advocating 4-6-0 Levein) but our centre fwds (Adams & Dykes) are so poor imo , i'd rather play with wide guys ; Christie types and have McGinn further forward - as a lot of our goals seem to come from other areas anyway - it feels like if we play both adams & dykes at same time ; especially against better teams we're almost carrying 2 passengers - i thought this when we played england in euros Dykes had a great first 45mins v Serbia away ; seemed to win everything and hold up play well - but v Ukraine i thought they both looked way out of their depth

just re watched BoB with my son ; it is top notch - i didnt have Sky (or whatever) when Sopranos came out - have only ever seen (loads) of clips and individual episodes - although i do have full access now ..... i was a big Boardwalk Empire fan (DVDs from library for some seasons) again full access as much as i like (usually prefer) all the violent ; war/gangster stuff - i feel Mad Men is my favourite to date = of series ive actually watched through i gave up with GoT 2 shows into Season 2 ; but really enjoyed "Rome" - its strange as loads of shows - Spartacus & the Viking one ? dabble in real history but dumb it down to such a level feel its unwatchable

just finished season 6 of peaky blinders - almost a parody of it's former self pity as i really enjoyed most of the previous seasons ; not sure when it lost its way ?

Ive thought for a few years we’ve had half a team of really decent players ; typically robbo/tierney/mcginn/gilmour/mcgregor/a n other/keeper decent problem being our 2 centre forwards are minging ;out of depth against decent teams -che adams spent 45mins v ukraine in his arse looking for fouls - dykes nodding it on whilst checking out his tats rest of defence is bombscarish too Clarke is prob best we have ; but wish he change things around quicker when we re getting horsed the fall of lee Griffiths has not been kind to our chances either

Ukraine were never there for the taking ; even from the perspective that all their players were comfortable on the ball , at times they went through us like the proverbial hot knife through butter - i agree with the defence and forwards being pish - its been this way for a while - usually our midfield has been enough to bail us out, and our full backs of course -aside from Adams and Dykes being way out of their depth - we;re carrying at least 1 passenger when they're both on the field McGinns header summed it up for me ; one mans bad luck is anothers bad technique
