Thanks Bzzzz. Panicked a wee bit as we were away and our poor neighbour was left with the fallout. All sorted now though. Thanks again guys. -
Main Riser.... Communal?

It's the main pipe bringing the water in . Turns out it is communal in a shared block. -
Main Riser.... Communal?
Betty replied to Betty's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
We are all private . Usually split everything that's related to the whole building. -
We've been having recurring issues with our main riser (8 flat tenement ) for 2 years now. On our side it's failed 3 times in different areas. My question is whether it's a communal issue as it's a communal pipe or does each floor hold responsibility for their own section? I'd have thought it'd be best to do the lot and make it communal responsibility. ... not in sections and pay bit by bit.... Any advice would be great before I go steaming in and make a complete Twat of myself cheers.

Wedding Favours

Instead of flowers I baked cupcakes as centre pieces and made tablet (managed to find a Han Solo in carbonite mould....), coconut ice and fudge. A packet of sweetie shop bags and some wee Broon paper carrier bags along with a donation to our favourite charity. Went down a treat with the guests who all went home with a sugar rush. We over catered with the evening buffet and that got cleared also. No waste..... and a fabulous day and night. -

This will sound nuts.... hang your dirty washing out. If he's disorientated the scent will help him find his way home. Don't give up. In the last 8 weeks I have returned the same Greek cat to Swiss owners who were living locally. The first time the cat was trapped in the stadium between 2 false ceilings and the second time it'd strayed further to Port Glasgow. He won't be far, while you are looking for him, he's probably living it up. Get on local social media. Look out for rescues. That's how Maunzli the Greek cat got home. I help out, the owners had contacted for help. It's usually as simple as that.

Used to get it at least twice a year as a kid. Missed so much time at school because of it. Ended up having them out when I was 12. Even then I continued to get throat infections until I was in my mid twenties. Brutal, absolutely brutal. The only thing that would dull the pain was ice cold water and that was only for an instant. I had so much penbritain as a kid I now have a penicillin allergy. Won't take antibiotics now. Nightmare though when you are dying for a bit of toast but can't swallow it and a cup of tea is an instrument of torture. -

Please consider the rescue route before purchasing a puppy. Rescue dogs have so much to offer. Staffordshire Bull Terriers are fabulous and I won't hear a word against them. Generally if you are looking at a badly behaved dog then you are looking at the wrong end of the lead. That said, no responsible rescue will rehome without rigorous checks. Think about that when you think about the back up you'll get post adoption. A puppy and a baby are the idyllic combination. But it is a heck of a lot of work especially when you are sleep deprived.

It's been strongly recommend but yet to manage a visit. -
I wonder what the reaction would be if the three books were published for the first time today. Would those religions that follow them embrace them as a measure of their respective beliefs, or would they be denounced as violent and deemed to encourage intolerance and hatred? In every topic in life there are new text books released which revise thought and practice . Still here we have groups of people clinging on to ideology that was penned nearly 2 thousand years ago. Now I'm not the brightest lamp on the landing. .. but even I see a problem with that.

Well that'd be on par with someone phoning in to my brother's old employer claiming to have singular sclerosis and that he'd be okay tomorrow. .... -

Exactly. You get far more with sugar than with vinegar. Don't alienate people by holding them in contempt for admitting weakness. They're asking for information now. How that information is delivered will have bearing on the next result. -

Note 4. I've got the s5 and love it. But screen size, ease of use and portability. I'd go note 4 if I was choosing now. Depends on your requirements. -
Depression
Betty replied to Naranjito82's topic in Anything Goes - Other topics not covered elsewhere
There's a risk of adverse effects with many anti depressants. It's different for everyone and you are offering extremely wise advice. My brother and I have both been prescribed the same tablets in the past and while he wasn't tolerant to venelafaxine, he thrived on cetraline and vice versa. Always ensure at least one person knows what you are embarking - apart from your G. P. -

Asking for help is the first and most important step to recovery. There's excellent advice here. Hope the original poster feels a turnaround soon. Sometimes just the relief of knowing your not alone makes all the difference. -
