Flora MaDonald
I got my macbook fixed really cheaply by the irepair shop on Battlefield Road. Give them a try, might be able to fix it Will they repair Ipads, Deedee? Regrettably mine fell out the window. G-man - on a brighter note, Columbo's on the noo
G-Man
Thanks Larky and sb, I'm going down the consumer rights route just now but have had to face it that I'll need to pay out for upgrade just now as really need phone for my work. If I get anywhere maybe I'll get the money reimbursed. Doomed, upgrade is £189 so may as well pay out for a new phone. This time I'll remember to mention on my home insurance though. Flora, I've been listening to new Elvis cd in car and watched a taped Columbo episode early hours of this morning and both men helped restore my temper to its usual 'on edge' rather than 'over the edge' that various phone people had left it. Grim Jim, nothing I can say except, fecking hell, what a nightmare. Edit, good reading there Larky and template. Thank you. Deedee
I lost my new iPhone 6s (8 weeks in to a 2 year contract) on Christmas Day. Well I say lost, a taxi driver has stolen it (on Christmas ###### Day!!) although unfortunately I can't prove that. As I'm just in to the contract EE want to charge me £600 for a like for like replacement (no insurance) and it's not covered under my contents insurance as I didn't list it as a "specified item" when taking out the policy. As I traded in my old phone I'm stuck with a 5 year old replacement my mate has leant me which looks like it was on it's last legs about 2 years ago. Needless to say I won't be using that taxi company again! Did you register it with the Findmyphone app/service thingy? Should be pretty easy to trace it.
