the Sunnylaw Jag
Thanks to those who have bought a copy, we have sold just over 300 copies. We need to sell a few more to break even and then any profit will go to charity. It has been difficult to get the word out there with no real interest from established media. We do have a Facebook page if you want to take a peek. We have sold over fifty on ebay and the feedback has been quite positive with a sample listed below; " excellent mag " " Super Fast Delivery. A must read for any member of the Tartan Army" " Highly recommend this if you have a passion for Scotland! Great service :)" "great read thanks" " excellent item, very quick delivery" "brilliant thanks" "really good magazine. Received in post really quickly" We do hope to have another issue out in March and are looking already for contributions. In the meantime there will be one or two sellers at the ROI and England game. Also still available at Almondvale Programmes in Edinburgh and Missing records Glasgow Link to ebay http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCOTLAND-EPISTLES-BULLSHIT-THISTLES-NEW-TARTAN-ARMY-FANZINE-MAGAZINE-/381026109860?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT

fringo
Well, I'm up for a charitable donation, especially with a football connection so I've just ordered one. Could be a wee stocking filler too.

fringo
Mine arrived on Thursday thanks (very quick delivery!). Not read it yet but it looks good. Heard it mentioned on Off The Ball today too. Cheers. Edited November 1, 2014 by fringo
the Sunnylaw Jag
Heard it mentioned on Off The Ball today too. What did they say and what part of the show was it on?
fringo
What did they say and what part of the show was it on? I only just switched it on about 1.10pm and just heard the name mentioned and then they moved onto something else, so I don't know how/why it came up or what was said I'm afraid. fringo
Just listened to the podcast but it seems to be massively edited and didn't hear it mentioned.
wanderer
What did they say and what part of the show was it on? Got plugged by Cosgrove, mentioned something about a player card that had Andy Roxburgh listed as a falkirk player while playing in a Partick Thistle kit. Was very briefly mentioned and got another plug about 10 minutes later in a passing comment from Cowan.
Magnum
I heard it and Cosgrove gave it a decent plug, saying that it stated it was purile humour, which, he said, their programme was about and they liked. Well done for your efforts, which should be supported. After all, it's the price of a pint ! I've just ordered one.
the Sunnylaw Jag
I listened to it on the BBC i PLAYER, thanks for letting me know.
the Sunnylaw Jag
Just to let you know that the fanzine will be on sale around the ground but blink and you might miss the seller, so please look out for it. We will be selling on Tuesday as well. It is only £3 unlike the programme, which jumped to a whopping fiver last time out. We hope to have another issue out in March and will be looking for people to submit articles soon. I am continuing to sell it on ebay, it can also be bought in Missing records in Argyle Street, which has other Scotland stuff on sale if you're interested. We do need to sell a couple of hundred more before we break even and then hopefully some money will go to charity after this. Thanks to those who have bought and on the whole enjoyed. fringo
My honest feedback is postive - it's worth a look IMO. Got mine on ebay £3 (plus £1.30 p&p) and received it less than 48 hrs later. I enjoyed it. I didn't think it was great (sorry, but trying to give honest feedback), but I would say it's good value and for me was money well spent. Worth it for yourselves or as a wee stocking filler for someone into Scottish/Scotland football. I hope you also break even and charity benefits. If you do another one later, I'd defo buy it again. the Sunnylaw Jag
Thanks for the feedback. I think you're right; there are things we need to change and look at but for a first go I am quite proud of how it looks and most of it's content. Next time we do hope different people will contribute and that ownership of the fanzine does become something that Scotland fans will see that is written for and belongs to them. Scott Kelly who has written for a host of Scotland magazines etc has already forwarded an article to be included in the next issue and I hope other people will do too. the Sunnylaw Jag
Just when you thought it was safe to go back in the water, here I am retreading this one again. Thanks to those who bought a copy at the game on Friday, all 40 or so of you. I hope you enjoyed it and if you did please let others know. As for tomorrow our world wide organisation might be down to one poor soul selling as some of us have to work and some are finding out that selling fanzines plays havoc with your social life i.e a wee swally before the gemme. So take pity on him if you see him and buy a copy or two. It continues to sell well on ebay so thanks again to those who have been buying, as copies have went out to the U.S., Australia and Greece in the last few weeks. Anyhoo here is the ebay link. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCOTLAND-EPISTLES-BULLSHIT-THISTLES-NEW-TARTAN-ARMY-FANZINE-MAGAZINE-/381055274713?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT
the Sunnylaw Jag
Okay time to be bloody annoying again and plead for more sales. Reality is that we have went away and licked our wounds and are now in the throes of creating issue 2. However some last words on issue 1 from ebay feedback "Super fast delivery, seems like a good read & well worth £3, bring on issue 2" "first class" "Brilliant item and arrived expeditiously" Thanks to all those who have bought it so far and hopefully issue 2 will be out in February. I don't think I left ebay feedback (?) but that's what I would have said - like my post here. Worth checking out folks and any profits to charity I believe. the Sunnylaw Jag
Remember that last posting date for Christmas is almost here and you can't afford to miss out on this wee stocking filler. Thanks to those have bought it already but as you can imagine sales have begun to dry up, however we have almost got issue 2 together and are still heading for a February release. As for the profits, we ain't getting there but maybe at a future date this could be realised. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SCOTLAND-EPISTLES-BULLSHIT-THISTLES-NEW-TARTAN-ARMY-FANZINE-MAGAZINE-/381092304342?ssPageName=STRK:MESE:IT Edited December 18, 2014 by the Sunnylaw Jag
