scottincarlisle Posted August 27, 2018 Posted August 27, 2018 Going for a few days next month with my wife & son. Planning a visit to the model railway place (apparently bigger than the one in Prague) & the chocolate museum. Anything else of note or anywhere recommended for eating ?

Everything I can recommend probably wouldn’t go down well with the missus!
bonzo Posted September 15, 2018 Posted September 15, 2018 I take it you mean miniature wonderland? It's a great place to see. Boat trips on the alster and the elbe are good too. The zoo is also well worth a visit.

Agreed. Spent about 4-5 hours in the place. The airport was superb. Got the bonus of seeing Concorde & the millennium falcon take off.

It was just sitting among the planes & we thought it was there as a joke then my son noticed later it was taxi-ing along. They dimmed the lights, it hovered then rocketed down. There seemed to be loads of local kids about so it may have been a school holiday. It was Germany Unity Day.
