jailender
On the radio this morning they said that 1500 domains were issued yesterday, a lot more than was anticipated. You must have gone for one that was applicable to other folk as well.
mariokempes56
I applied for one was told it was available so paid for it. Then an email saying it was no longer available after all (and I had fully paid). Something dodgy about that.
Tartan Tarantula
Looked into it last night for a blogspot. 40 quid per year, compared to 10 quid (or less) for a .co.uk or .com
Flure
I booked one ages ago. Now just waiting for it to be released and processed. I'll let you all guess what it might be.
deecie
I applied for 2 and got 1. If anybody out there managed to register "aberdeen.scot" - I'd like a forwarding email address please.

OLAS
Pre-ordered last year... but my registrar forgot to tell me they are not allowed to register .scot Turns out I lost the domain. Don't use uniteddomains.com - shite customer service.
runningtings
Best I could get was 19.99 from 1&1 so I didnae bother.
Tartan Tarantula
Best I could get was 19.99 from 1&1 so I didnae bother. Aye, that was for the first year, jumping up to 40 quid in year 2 onwards, right?
rasputin
It was 1and1 i went with, pre registered but knocked back today, i'll be interested to see who got in ahead of me.

runningtings
Aye, that was for the first year, jumping up to 40 quid in year 2 onwards, right? To be honest I didn't get that far, just thought it wasn't worth it at 20 quid. Cheeky bastards.
rasputin
So i got the reason why i was knocked back for the domain i requested: Unfortunately the domains could not be registered. The domain areconsidered to be a premium domain and is not available for generalregistration. So they have decided my family name is a 'premium' name and i as someone who has had that name since birth isn't allowed to use it. Very egalitarian.
