You're right he did come across a bit of a bruiser on tv but seems to have been a different character on a personal level. Allan Stewart I hadn't heard of in a long time. Met his son once, he was admirably refreshed at the time. I recall telling him his dad was a madman for attacking those protesters with a pickaxe, but now I give thanks to the M77 every day in life.
