  1. My first away was Lithuania 2006 or something. I remember folk there telling me I'd be hooked. Damn right. I'm chewing my knuckles off waiting fro the next. Too long this, way too long. How many folk used to travel in the '75-'76 days? Was eastern Europe open to supporters?
  2. Cheers folks, I've been struggling with testing myself on intellectual stuff like Kafka (something about a lazy creepy crawly) and Henry Miller (filth), not yet tried Dostoyevsky - probably 'cause they were all free downloads, so now in need of a laugh. You'll know what I mean Jen! RIP T.P. you obviously gave a hell of a lot of people great pleasure.
  3. Can't think of a film I've seen that's any good with him in it. In fact he annoys me so much I will have to give BatTs a miss And as for Audrey: 6/10 And no, I'm not trolling
  4. Sad to say, I've never read one of his books. Put off by the thought of goblins and gnomes - I can't stand Lord of the Rings for instance, but he seemed like a good lad and said to be a good read. Where should I start? Was thinking of Truckers: First book of the gnomes (despite what I said).
  5. Depends how old your vinyl is. Willie Dixon's name appears more often on newer pressings.
  6. "He is the third most successful adult contemporary artist on the Billboard charts behind Elton John and one-time duet partner Barbra Streisand." I'll call that a plus then
  7. "Chopper" was great on Sportsound tonight, and very complimentary towards WGS too.
  8. Takes effort for me either hand (I even have to concentrate on the devil's horns at gigs too so they don't come up wrong ), but had to give a Vulcan salute to Leonard. Especially after BremLG's video. RIP
  9. OK, I'm guessing the Grassmarket is a bit to close to the strip joints then and has some naughty stag nighters in there. I feel their pain, sorry Tam
  10. Right, I'm no eastiebeastie so I may take a pasting here, but for out of towners... the Jekyll & Hyde. Then there's the White Hart in the Grassmarket and ...oh buggger ...the other place I was about to suggest (with great tap beer selection) appears to have gone. Told you I wasn't local
  11. So all us cool people will be coming down from Lisboa then I hope I'm still in a good mood after the Poland game
  12. Come departure day, I'd still be running around the house like a loony trying to remember where I'd stashed it.
  13. Brilliant!. Cheers Scanner. Now I just need to get down from Lisbon. Anybody running a bus?
  14. Being realistic... Armstong will never, ever score a hat-trick...
  15. Can we agree here, from here on in, no' to talk our players up please?
