  1. Hamilton boy though Ally Mrs Grim was in his class at school. I'm sure he and his brother ran rings round me on the school park too once. (Though I was aye the last to get picked, so doesn't say much.)
  2. OK, please ignore if they were previously posted and you skipped them last time anaw. Jeez, my mouse wheel has just packed in. Feckin' Microsoft shite. My Belkin mouse lasted years and I just got this one recently. Oanyhoo... came here to post a tune Probably first heard it on here! Just heard it again and want to re-share...
  3. Feck me. I was going to post a tune and these came up in the edit box. I thought I'd posted these last time! Must have been a Friday night
  4. Cheers, but I thought I would get pulled up for some dodgy photo-shoppin'. Photo has been touched up and looks a bit unreal 😄
  5. Not at that game, but you've captured the atmosphere for me back then. Massed band, rain, floodlights. An inch o' pish around the toilets For my earlier big crowds, I could hardly see the games as I was a couple of inches short of seeing over the bunnets. I can remember being really scared in the crush a couple of times at the exits too. A little older, and going with a pal instead of my dad, someone knicked his tartan tammy while at the terracing exit and someone tried to pickpocket me. So packed you couldn't turn round to see who.
  6. I've found a new stat to make me look old 👴 We've played over 770 official matches and my first was round about no. 335.
  7. Stade de France friendly 2002. Bertie's first game. Took me a while to find the year as it took more than 4 years for Caldwell's Revenge.
  8. That was the one where they paraded the world cup round the perimeter track before the game was it not? I sent my wee lads down to the front to get a look. I remember thinking it was as close as they were ever going to get to it 😪 I could have sworn it was more than 0-2, but you're right. It felt like they had more to me. Must have missed some chances.
  9. Yes, Paterson turned out and did what was was asked as best he could. I thank him for that. We all knew that was the latest problem area for us. He's no Sandy Jardine, but what's he meant to do? With a close view in the 1st half, it looked to me that when he had to track back he made for the middle while Bates covered his position, so I think some thought had been paid to our deficiencies.
  10. Denis Law 1963? Last 2 of 4 at home to Austria then all 3 away to Norway (we lost 4-3). Could have been more, but the Austria 'friendly' was abandoned after 79 mins before someone got seriously hurt. And no, that's not from memory...
  11. I didn't even realize he'd done that until I got home and watched the highlights! I was probably staring at my watch.
  12. I'll withdraw that. The 3 days between the play-off semis and the final is nuts.
  13. I was there. I'm feeling guilty at missing the Portugal game due to bad planning. That was my first home absence since Qatar 2015 and first Glasgow miss since Hungary 2004. Part reason for the low crowd must have been a lack of understanding of the games importance. I think I talked it up to myself too much and got pretty stressed out 😬
  14. Reading this thread after the game is like reliving its ups and downs all over again. Phew. A three Gaviscon game that.
  15. Looks like Poland just need a draw in Portugal tonight to bump Germany down to pot 2 ! Portugal can play their B-team again too.
  16. Maybe I just like photography more, but could do without the people and just gaze at this...
  17. Just caught up with the last 3 pages. We (still) know what to do. Just f'kn win tomorrow 🤬
  18. I'm quite amazed how someone at UEFA thought this all through. Other than confusion (and still low crowds in our case) I don't thing we've managed to find a major flaw in the system itself. Maybe the possibility that a league C team might throw games to get relegated and get an easier play-off next time? Are Lithuania at it?
  19. I think you're taking him too literally Andy. What I believe McLeish meant was that he had decided on his 11 a short time before the game and lost only 2 from that.
