  1. Looking forward to the Clyde v Aberdeen game tonight, big noisy crowd and also some Aberdeen fans πŸ˜„ our form has certainly improved since Ian McCall took charge and certainly don't expect us to be bottom of the pile come May. Aberdeen should win quite comfortably, can't see them having a repeat of the Darvel game. This is a free hit for us tonight, league games & our survival way more important an old picture of our last Scottish cup fixture (1984 IIRC) check the crowd packed inside Shawfield, im in there somewhere a young 18 year old - that Aberdeen time where a bit tasty (think that was Jim Leighton in goals for Aberdeen)
  2. Just finished the complete box set (that was a Christmas present) of the Soprano's - absolute perfection, if there has ever been a better series produced anywhere then I've got to see it.
  3. Watched two films over the festive season from the 1980's and they where really good and I would recommend a watch at some point. . . . . . . . The Star Chamber - with Michael Douglas & Hal Holbrook Nighthawks - with Sylvester Stallone, Rutger Hauer & Lindsay Wagner two very different movies, but really enjoyed them, pretty sure I saw both in the old Odeon Cinema on Renfield Street Glasgow (early 1980's)
  4. I was there also Slasher, If I knew you where going I would have introduced myself !! That first half was the best we (Clyde) have played all season by a long way, (that third goal scored by a premier league team and it's making the back pages) We now have let go 7 duds (sorry lads you where too young and signed by an uninterested twat), and have brought in 3 league 1 (minimum) standard players with at least another 3 to come in during this window. I'm confident we will slowly climb the league and avoid oblivion, with Ian McColl in charge I would put money on us getting promotion next season, he really is a manager operating below his level, after decades of Clyde having no money to piss in a pot, we now have a money man (apparently a lifelong Clyde fan) who is prepared to back the club financially (with caveats, being Championship within 5 - 7 years and a return to Glasgow) Was good work persuading Ian McColl to join, Looking forward to the Aberdeen cup game (even managed to talk my Celtic daft son into buying a ticket also πŸ˜€) Should be a cracking atmosphere - allocation split is Clyde 2200 & Aberdeen 3800 (i'm pretty sure they will sell at least 2000) as would probably sell out completely if it was on the Saturday as apposed to the Friday night Come Away The Clyde !!!!!
  5. Completely agree - this is my third tournament (done Italia 1990 & Euro 1996) hopefully we finally (finally) get out the group stage of a major tournament. I have heard many of my friends guess how many will travel over (we will have a guaranteed 10,000 fans in each ground (at least), some have said 70,000, others have said 100,000 πŸ˜„, I reckon we will take over approx 30,000 ?? Thoughts ?
  6. Agree 100% spot on. . . . . . . . wish we had leaders who could take the fight (not literally) to those bastards, however we need people who have the intellect, the power to persuade and to unite a majority behind our cause, sadly I can't think of anyone with those credentials. We really are the masters of clinching defeat from the jaws of victory, who's like us indeed !!!!
  7. Last Christmas - Wham (George Michael passed on writing credits to Andrew Ridgely, set him up for life apparently - came across as a right good bloke did George Michael) Merry Christmas (Was Is Over) - John Lennon And one from my School Christmas dance - Hey Mr Christmas - Showaddywaddy πŸ§‘β€πŸŽ„
  8. ednburgh 6:00am to paris on the 13th - paris to munich 12:00 noon on the 13th.
  9. edi - paris 3hr connection time paris - munich
  10. Flushing meadows hotel and bar Munich 13th - 15th then head to DΓΌsseldorf from there.
  11. I recieved one order number for my 3 tickets - whereas others i know recieved 3 different order nubers (one for each game)?
  12. 195 Euro for opener (which I wasn't to fussed about paying) then other 2 fixtures got fans first tickets happy with that.
  13. Fly to dusseldorf on the 13th - early flight 7:30am to munich on the 14th then back to dusseldorf on the 15th stay there until the game in cologne on the wednesday
  14. Absolutely this 100% (and i'm 58 years old, but give me the young team anyday πŸ‘)
  15. Early autumn was the indicative timeframe since the bid was finalised in June, However, as the GCC working group which is preparing a recommendation for Councillors asked Clyde for points of clarity in the middle of September, a decision in October became unlikely. as i understand it Clyde have not, at present, been advised of a new timeframe. Clyde are looking to have the legal transfer by end of 2024, also our lease on NDP ends 2025.
  16. Probably the same game Slasher, I can remember the entrance by the "casuals" it was certainly a first for me watching the football, I think they thought they would turn up at this smallish Glasgow club and take a few liberties. . . . . . . they didn't take into account that some of the Clyde terracing boys came from the rather posh quiet areas of Bridgeton / Castlemilk & Rutherglen πŸ˜„ Aberdeen where some team back in those days and I also look forward to the day (hopefully very soon) that we return to Glasgow.
  17. Hopefully our new manager (Ian McColl) gets rid of some of the shite players that Jim Duffy signed (and re-signed after we got relegated πŸ˜„) come the January window, and also we have apparently a money man waiting in the sidelines to help the club out, so I would like to think we will have some better players come the Aberdeen cup tie (both clubs will sell out their allotted allocations. . . . . . . . . . Brings back memories of the only Clyde v Aberdeen game I have attended, pretty sure it was an early league cup or Scottish cup tie (1983/1984 IIRC), we gave a good enough showing that day against an all conquering Aberdeen side that where probably the best team in the country at the time. Also the first time I encountered smarty well dressed lads looking for a scrap with the Clyde fans πŸ˜„
  18. No thanks - i'm going to the football not a Harry Lauder convention !!
  19. A good one sang back in the 1970's from a dust chocked Rangers end (as it was known back then) "You're gonnae get your fuckn head kicked in" followed by claps πŸ˜„sticks in my head for some reason
  20. Regardless of how this is tarted up with the usual soundbites, this is a disaster and has set our movement back at least 15 years, self inflicted yes, deliberate Hmmmm fuck knows, the SNP are now too soft, too tame, too passive.
