  1. 8 of the Rangers 11 were Scots whilst Celtic had 6
  2. It used to stress me out watching Moreno look absolutely useless and Robbo not making the squad as Klopp said that full back was a specialist position so he didn't need one on the bench. Personally I don't think Klopp rated Robbo at first, he was just brought in by scouting team much like Salah was, which makes me more impressed by how he took his chance when Moreno got injured and made himself undroppable.
  3. I've made this point before when it's come up but I think Tierney is the one who'd be more versatile of the two and probably closer in comparison to Alaba & Kimmich than Robertson. Robbo's style of play better suits him being in wide areas and if he's said he's uncomfortable at wing back, then I can't imagine how he'd feel in CM. Tierney on the other hand has comfortably played LB, RB, LM and the left side of a back 3 so could see him fit into the left side of a midfield 3 with the same ease
  4. Found it interesting to read that a team of Rangers first team players were getting hammered by Liverpool's U23s until Gerrard brought on a bunch of young Scots from the academy on in the 2nd half. Maybe that'll show him that they have young Scottish players coming through who should get game time over their naff imports.
  5. Herrera has announced he's leaving at the end of the season so hopefully that means more games for McTominay
  6. BBC report says no meeting this week but hints at something happening next week
  7. I do find it interesting how much more fragile Bates & McKenna have looked in these games compared to the previous 2. All I can think is maybe McGregor was better at organisation than Bain?
  8. Does goal difference come in to play? I assumed it was head to head
  9. I don’t think Bates was good against Kazakhstan but not necessarily terrible. McKenna just looked unfit tbh and definitely didn’t seem comfortable with shinnie at left back
  10. Happy with that lineup. That midfield choice says we’re going to take the game to them which is positive. im backing McBurnie to get his first goal today
  11. Taylor is unlucky to be a left back really. He’s definitely good enough to be an international but has two of our best players ahead of him
  12. Kazakhstan 0 - 2 Scotland San Marino 0 - 4 Scotland
  13. "Alex McLeish has been dealt a further blow with Ryan Fraser and Callum Paterson set to sit out of the clash with Kazakhstan. The first of Scotland's European Championship qualifiers will take place on the artificial surface of the Astana Arena next Thursday. And Bournemouth and Cardiff want their key men to sit out of the game and protect themselves after both suffering serious knee injuries in the past"
  14. Personally I'd pick Findlay over Souttar because he's left sided.
  15. Paterson can't play in the first game because of the pitch. Also, Bates was thrown in for his debut in an important game and did fine so I have no worries about Findlay doing the same
  16. Let's try this again.... Kelly Palmer Bates Findlay Tierney McTominay McGregor Forrest McGinn Burke McBurnie I imagine Eck will probably go with Russell, Bain & Souttar though
  17. Sad to see Fraser being lumped in the can't be arsed pile when he travelled to Scotland for the Albania home game desperate to play only to be told no by our physios
  18. Robertson not definitely out
  19. I agree. I was disappointed Kelly & Findlay weren’t selected originally. Kelly is much better than Archer and I’d probably pick him over McLaughlin too
  20. Did anybody watch the Swansea game? I know McBurnie missed out but I was interested to know how Byers & Fulton played.
  21. There's Souttar who could play as well though that would be 2 right footers
  22. He’s not looked anywhere near his best and just got himself a daft suspension for the next round
  23. Must be saving himself for Scotland....
  24. Apparently Tierney has caught the eye of the Dortmund scouts watching Toljan, who they've got out on loan to Celtic at the minute. If there's truth in this then I'd much rather he go to Germany than to England as I feel he'll become a better player there.
