  1. McGinn and Russell looking real spicy. Team looks up for it in general. Need a goal to settle the nerves though.
  2. Yup, let's hope in 3 hours' time we're chatting on here about how much of a master stroke this was after a comfortable victory. Come on Scotland!!!
  3. He is injured. But this still makes no sense.
  4. Hahaha yeah, not a single person predicted this lineup! I'm surprised Archer isn't on the pitch.
  5. Fraser not on bench so must have picked up an injury?
  6. Really surprised not to see Fraser starting.
  7. It's disgraceful. Pulling on the shirt for his national team should be among the proudest moments of the lad's life, and some absolute eejits are tarnishing that by having a complete lack of understanding of what it means to support Scotland. I really hope he's strong enough to not let it get to him, and that he know it's not coming from the majority of us. Yes my club team is Rangers, and yes I'd love to see Ryan Jack getting the better of an Aberdeen or Celtic team (though that's not really on the cards at the moment), but first and foremost I'm a member of the Tartan Army, my main team is Scotland, and whether it be Jack, Shinnie, or Tierney, when I see them come on or go off the pitch I will give them the biggest cheer and clap I can muster because I know they have just gone out there to do they best they can representing our team and our country.
  8. Yes, the ranking that will decided the pots for the Euro 2020 draw is based on how the teams perform in the Nations League. If we are the best team in League C we will be ranked 25th. That would put us in pot 3.
  9. That's true, but I also follow two club teams that are nowhere near the best that can be mustered. I know they will not get the same support as the lads, but to not support them based on standard makes no sense for a massive cohort of Scottish football fans. PS: These women are in fact the best our country can muster in their sport, and compared to almost every other country in the world they are great.
  10. This is exactly what I was thinking. We're the Tartan Army. We don't support our team because of the great standard of football. We support them because they are Scotland!
  11. Yeah, this is the easiest shot we have had at a Euro playoff spot in a long time. People need to get excited about it and start getting properly behind the lads!
  12. Hahaha, Robbo for the brace. Easy. I'm not too worried. If you told me any player in our squad scored a goal against Albania I wouldn't shit my pants.
  13. I couldn't agree more. Last night meant nothing more than we aren't great at planning friendlies. If we don't win on Monday we can start to worry, but let's burn that bridge when we get to it, and chill the fuck out until then. 2-0 win on Monday and all is forgotten.
  14. Starting again for Malaga right now. Come on Jack, bang a couple of goals in and throw some much needed positive sauce on this message board!
  15. I'm all for it. Would be brilliant to show them the support they deserve, and it is a fantastic chance to show the rest of the world that we support our women. I'd love to go myself, and I hope to see thousands of other Scots there!

You're absolutely right. In fact, I even used to think it was a nightmare getting to/from Hampden from Drumchapel haha! One time I ended up walking home through the Clyde Tunnel. If you've never been through the pedestrian tunnel, keep it that way.
  17. I couldn't agree more. I think the the right friendlies to line up would be with teams in League B of the Nations League. That would provide a good test against teams at a level we are striving to get to. However, I confess I do not fully understand the intricacies of arranging friendlies.

I think these weeknight games are killing us. I used to travel up for all the games when they were on the weekends. I know Friday night is fun for people in the central belt, but it makes it tough for anyone coming from further afield. Monday night? That's just out of the question I'm afraid.
  19. That's a really positive podcast to listen to. Thanks for posting!
  20. Yeah, I think he might have already shown he has the ability. After a match against Chelsea last season I remember someone Tweeted "75% of the Earth's surface is covered by water. The rest is covered by Kante, and Kante is covered by Scott McTominay".
  21. Outstanding achievement! All world cups should be played in France.
  22. Really bad time to concede an equaliser Not that there's ever a good time.
  23. Yeah I'm really not sure how the strength of La Liga 2 compares to the Championship, but it can't be that far behind. Assuming it's close then every 90 minutes he plays and every goal he gets should add some good weight to his consideration, especially considering his only competition is coming from Scottish Premiership, English Championship, and MLS players. I fancy betting a wee pint he makes it into the squad for the matches this November.
  24. I've definitely fallen into the trap of getting too excited about this lad before, but now he has started 4 games in a row and last night scored a lovely goal to help Malaga stay top of La Liga 2 he finally feels like a more tangible prospect. I wonder if he keeps starting and scoring over the next 4 weeks whether he might be selected for the next squad?
