  1. In about 3 years archer will be our first team keeper imo. Guys only 24 and could potentially play a higher level than English championship. What with our three main goalkeepers into their mid thirties then it would seem like he is the logical successor to them.
  2. I thought he played well. Dealt with most attacks well. He looks like a decent prospect at CB which we all know we could do with.
  3. Personally I thought he played ok in that match. Didn't exactly have that bad a game considering they barely had any chances on goal. At the end of the day Tierney imo is better at right back than our other options so for me he should continue there unless we play three at the back then he can play at CB.
  4. Tierney has been good enough at right back. This myth that he hasn't been playing well at rb has grown arms and legs on here. He would still be my first choice right back as he does the fundamentals of defending well.
  5. True but its not much good if you don't even get on their bench.
  6. Alot of ppl turned their noses up at him going to burnley, my self included but he would probably be getting played every week there instead of not even getting on the bench at Liverpool.
  7. He looks like a Luka modric type of midfielder. Has great passing and can hit a long range shot. He has scored about 3 or 4 in his first 4 games in the u18 team. All of which were long range crackers. He looks young physically so it could be a few years before we really see him get first team football. Not sure if it was the right move for him as Chelsea don't bring through youth and he would of had a better chance of first team football at rangers. Hopefully a loan move will see him get first team football in a couple of years. Chelsea however do produce a good level of pro but just not guys good enough for their first team.
  8. Agree with this. He is born and bred in England so he deserves a bit of time to make his mind up on what he wants to do regarding his international career. Its better that than switching between sides in a couple of years. Hopefully he chooses Scotland and goes onto be a top player but if he chooses England then fair play to him and I wish him well.
  9. Yeh he probably should but only if Griffith's gets injured. If Griffith's gets injured then we are fukked.
  10. no i am not a celtic fan. he retired from international football, that means he wasnt jumping ship to some better option. he wanted to prolong his club career. Its completely different, to suggest it is the same is just plain daft.
  11. The scott Brown comparison is bullshit. Scott Brown decided to come out of retirement and make himself available for selection. He only retired in order to prolong his club career but realised he missed it and wanted one last crack at going to a major tournament with scotland. IMO he is a good guy for coming back, all be it was in a glamour tie with england but he still stuck out the rest of the campaign.
  12. I personally see no problem with mcleish leaving when he did. He wanted to get back involved in club football and it was at the end of the campaign. It wasnt anything as bad as what smith did. i would however prefer if mcleish didnt get the job as he has had his chance and left as soon as he was given a semi decent offer(if you can call birmingham that). Better to try someone new who has never had a chance.
  13. Lol so it's ok to ditch the national team after a few games of a campaign because you suddenly are wanted again. Call me old fashioned but that is low in my opinion and I believe most honest guys with any self respect would not do that. But each to their own. I view Smith like the scummy rodent he is.
  14. Walter Smith did a cracking job while he was in the job. Doesn't change the fact he ####ed off after a few games, we were very lucky to continue on the good form under mcleish and Smith leaving didn't ruin our chances but easily could have.
  15. Lol like? Walter got offered the rangers job off the back of doing well in the Scotland job, like the weasel he is he jumped ship midway through the campaign potentially leaving it in tatters. Have i spoken badly of a hero of yours or can you not understand these simple facts. Guys pathetic.
  16. Walter left in the middle of a campaign. There's a massive difference. Walter already was manager of his dream job and retired from it to go to Everton where he done so shite he needed to use the Scotland job to weasel his way back into the "dream" rangers job. Guys a complete cock and deserves nothing but contempt.
  17. That's actually a good idea, gives us a chance to see if he can maintain the good form. Stay is my vote.
  18. Surely a simpler option would of been to make the qualifying groups larger and therefore increase the games which would replace the meaningless friendlies. You could have potentially 4 to 5 teams qualifying from each group with one play off spot in each group.
  19. This is far too complex, what is the advantage of being in the top league playing against good sides. Does the top league get more play off spots. Do we get a play off spot in our league and if so does that mean they are doing away with play off spots in the qualifying group assuming there is qualifying groups. By uefa and fifa are doing their best to mess up the game we love.
  20. Thats Harry souttar, John souttar is the one playing for the u21s. John souttar will probably play for us one day in the near future but atm he ain't really better than the options we have. Hopefully Harry shows he can cut it at a high level and make it in epl.
  21. I agree with most of this, we have had a good run of form for the last 6 games so we should be looking to continue it and hopefully we can go to the euros.
  22. Yeh I agree, it might be an option incase Griffith's gets injured. He has played up front in the u21 s as well.
  23. He's not first team but he certainly is a better option than alot of others, our wingers imo should be Forrest, burke, Phillips, ritchie, Fraser. I would start Forrest and fraser. Ritchie has had some decent games for us but admittedly he's been poor in alot as well but then so have many of our players so it comes done to who would necessarily do better. I can't name many outwith the names above who are better options than him.
  24. To a certain extent I agree with you. Up until Sunday everyone was singing his praises and saying how well he's done to get us into a position where we can qualify. Alot of ppl were dismissing Slovenia and already talking about play offs which given our history I couldn't believe the arrogance. I for one would not mind if he continues to manage Scotland but can understand if he wants to leave as it's a thankless task at times.
  25. You are laughing but the guys performed consistently at a higher level than any of our other wingers. Can you name me 2 or 3 Scottish wingers who consistently perform in a top league. If not then we don't have the luxury of dismissing him.
