  1. For Aberdeen to win , Celtic had to have an off day. Celtic played well and won. Aberdeen very average. Great turn out by their fans however very very quiet .
  2. I hope I see the day the doors are locked on all the tabloid press .
  3. Aaid - agreed re the warning. But front page news ? You get drunk, act the goat and you get the front page of a national newspaper. The scum press went there to get a story and some clowns have given them it. But its sly and sleekit.
  4. Totally agree mate total stupidity from these guys, and they will be paying a heavy humiliating cost for what they have done. Police / SFA security should be down there and names taken and given official censures re watching Scotland. But these guys could face all types of issues because that rag decide there is nothing news worthy. Their front page should have been a tribute to the fallen not this tabloid crap. Guys bearing their backsides is beyond me however I bet the camera man was goading the picture out them !
  5. The guys in the Square behaved and respected very well the 11am silence and the whole ceremonial part of the day. As day progresses a couple over indulge and revert to drunken oaf mode with various daft behaviour. This includes jumping in the water which earlier had seen poppies put in it during tribute. Also various kilt flashes for camera. Tartan Army leave square and behind leave a T In The Park style mess. Various images of the guys involved on front page. Daft yes, front page humiliation no.
  6. Admire the confidence and did mention it on the way home. The look of disdain from my mates was the wake up call . Our defence is no better than an average SPL one ( bottom six ) and we have stopped taking our chances up front. We need at least 2 goals every game to stand a chance of winning. We will get tops 12 points and finish 4th
  7. Dreadful journalism from a dreadful dying paper. Guys have had too much to drink and act daft, where in the world would you get on the front page. That's right in the piece of trash called the Record or Mail. These guys deserve a slagging and firm talking to by their mates. Not nationally ridiculed with massive lifetime issues ( job loss etc ) Honestly makes me sick. These guys meant no disrespect to the fallen soldiers. Quicker that paper goes under the better,
  8. I doubt any Celtic fan is under any illusion of the target in this group . Avoid humiliation at home and try to get more than zero points. Sometimes the financial gulf does translate to a gulf in class . As it did here . Breathtaking stuff .
  9. One of those games I wouldn't mind going to . Going to be some atmosphere up there as those old foes meet !
  10. 1. Effigies - moronic 2. Grown ups chanting about paedophiles - moronic 3 . Trashing stadiums - moronic 4. In Old Firm game banners talking about " war " - moronic 5. Last Saturday's events in Belfast - moronic . The behaviour of some fans is beyond normal comprehension of the normal human being . However what is very dangerous are statements from clubs using situations to take some type of moral high ground where there is none The Rangers statement reeks of playing to the fans much like Green did . Also I wonder what will happen at Pittodrie .
  11. Salisbury Bar - a quaint steamers bar still serving the scoops in Silema
  12. Hi lads any info regards open boozers when we hit town at 1am tonight ? Surely on a Friday there's a late night dancing !
  13. Still waiting for these thug like qualities you speak of ?
  14. " Thug " get a grip. I wonder if he wore a red jersey would you give him the same patter. Can you actually give some " thug " like qualities that you have observed ? It will be Darren Fletcher who will be captain again.
  15. Fair play to Scott. 50 caps has to applauded and some of the comments above are to be honest a disgrace. I am always disappointed when a player " retires " as I personally would run through a wall for a second wearing that jersey. If its his body failing I suppose at best it isn't the huffy retirals/temp retirals like Weir, Fletcher and Gough. But the " thug " and " limited skill " patter is a joke. And guys who believe Lewis McLeod after three games should be drafted into the squad after three games really are crazy. Boy ought to get a full season under his belt. Thanks Scott, we move on to Malta.
  16. I think a total change of line up occuring however regardless of lame duck no humiliating endings can even be contemplated.
  17. You have to hope the Compliance Officer throws it out and that's the end of the debate.
  18. The compliance officer needs to have a good look at himself. A term which has been used for many years is from nowhere deemed offensive. God if any clubs song book needs sanitised me thinks the Southside of Glasgow is a place to start.
  19. Brown does not play in that team we have a problem for me.
  20. Spot on for me re May and Russell. I just don't see where a big man like Martin fits in to the team up front. Seemed to lack mobility. May and Russell immediately brought a bit of energy although by that time there was three up front !. I would never fault Bannan's enthusiasm but for me he lacks any presence . He looks totally lost on the field at times against the bigger teams. Against smaller opposition no bother but not against your English, Germans , Belgians etc. I wouldn't even contemplate bringing him on against the Germans at home. A great performance against the Irish was always the main priority.
  21. When you play these top teams and players you need a slice of luck and our players to be 100% . Alas last night they were well beaten and the second goal was to be fair a tad lucky. Hanley will get by and no more v your Poland and Ireland however move up a level and he will struggle, very similar to Whittaker. Robertson has been magic but a wee wake up call with Chamberlain giving him a torrid time . Still great going forward and magic goal. Too many misplaced passes. Got to hope Fletch gets match time and the other Fletch stays fit. I would move Mulgrew back to CH, drop Hanley and put Brown beside Fletcher. Has to be a realisation that Bannan is not the answer at this level. Too small and not enough in his locker to make up for this. Very impressed with Rooney. Hard working the full 90 minutes and a genuine class act. The best man on the park by a distance. Two good games, one great result
  22. A great example of a support doing its job. Put him right of his game.
  23. Possibly Gordon has one berth earmarked every squad for such a talent. however I do have to laugh when the young lad is labelled as the next big thing. Let's wait until he gets to the top league and bigger pressures. Such spotlight is very counter productive . By the Scottish medias reckoning several years back John Fleck will be Getting his 50th cap and Mark Burchill his 100th against the Irish!
